The quadrennial event comes to an end with the final underway on Sunday.

Football players have celebrated in a variety of ways, and it is one of the most attractive ways to respond after scoring goals. However, sometimes celebrations occur in a different context and might be used to disparage rival teams. And in FIFA World Cup 2022, we saw such celebrations, therefore here are the top ten FIFA World Cup 2022 celebrations.

10. Aurelien Tchouameni (France) vs England

The absence of Kante has been mitigated by Aurelien Tchouameni, who has been outstanding for France at the World Cup. When the 22-year-old put France ahead with a spectacular shot against England, he celebrated with his finger to his temple.

The celebration was in honour of his childhood hero, Argentine-Italian footballer Lisandro Lopez, who plays for Atlético Sarmiento in the Primera División.

9. Vincent Aboubakar (Cameroon) vs Brazil

Vincent Aboubakar made history by leading Cameroon to a 1-0 victory over Brazil, marking Cameroon as the first African country to defeat Brazil. Aboubakar, already on a yellow card, celebrated by pulling off his shirt and the referee sent him off showing him the second yellow card, he left the pitch with a smile and shaking hands with Aboubakar.

8. Mitchell Duke (Australia) vs Tunisia

Mitchell Duke celebrated with a motion that looked like a Fortnite celebration called 'Taking the L,' which many people couldn't understand. That celebration, as it turned out, was for his son Jaxson. Mitchell Duke revealed that it was a planned celebration because both had prepared before the contest.

"By the sounds of it, there's been a wonderful reception from all over the world," the Socceroos striker told FIFA. "He [Jaxson] has outperformed me, but I'll take it. He's a tiny celebrity, and I'm glad he's getting all the attention. "I'm sure he'll be a little king when he returns to his school," he continued.

7. Hwang Hee-chan (South Korea) vs Portugal

Hwang Hee-Chan will always remember by South Korean fans as he came off the bench and scored the winner against Portugal to help the Asian giants advance to the round of 16 for the first time in 12 years. And he celebrated by taking off his shirt and flexing his arms and dedicated his celebration to his grandparents. In an interview, he said, “My grandparents helped me become a football player while my parents were out for work, these tattoos are copied from my grandparents’ own handwriting.”

6. Ismaila Sarr (Senegal) vs Ecuador

Ismaila Sarr assisted Senegal's victory over Ecuador in the round of 16, putting the Senegal front from the box and celebrating with one hand covering his eyes and the other pointing to his head. His celebration stems from the media's continued apathy for crimes in Africa, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

A few weeks ago, nearly 300 residents were killed in DR Congo's Kishishe hamlet. The attack was blamed on the M23 rebel group, which UN analysts think is sponsored by Rwandan President Paul Kagame's government.

5. Osman Bukari (Ghana) vs Portugal

As Portugal won the game 3-2, Ronaldo was irritated when Osman Bukari, Ghana's second goal scorer, performed Ronaldo's most famous SIU celebration in front of him. But it was the former Real Madrid player who returned home pleased.

4. Youssef En-Nesyri (Morocco) vs Canada

Morocco was the team that captured many people's hearts with their performance and made history in this tournament. They were the first African nation to reach the World Cup semi-finals, defeating nations including 2010 World Cup winner Spain and Euro 2016 winner Portugal.

Youssef En-Neysri scored in the 23rd minute of the Group F match against Canada and celebrated by pulling an imaginary pair of binoculars. Regardless of the statement, he intended to transmit, it usually meant for the world to open their attention as Morocco is the new entrant.

3. Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) vs Spain

Morocco defeated Spain on penalties in the round of 16, thanks to great saves by Morocco's goalkeeper. Although Achraf Hakimi converted the final penalty to bring Morocco to the quarter-finals, he then performed a penguin dance, as he frequently does with Sergio Ramos at PSG. Hakimi's reaction was in response to his disappointment at Spain's head coach for not selecting Sergio Ramos for the World Cup in 2022.

2. Kylian Mbappe (France) vs Australia

At the age of 23, he is in the second final of the FIFA World Cup and has five goals, tying Lionel Messi for the Golden Boot. Mbappe's unique celebration came against Australia, when he scored a brace and then went on from his cross-armed leap to bow down, one hand behind his back and the other thumb on his nose.

Although there is no story behind his jubilation, many French reports stated it was to congratulate his teammate Hakimi for defeating Belgium in the World Cup.

1. Lionel Messi (Argentina) vs Netherlands

Lionel Messi's typical celebrations have included pointing fingers at the sky and thanking his grandmother for supporting him in becoming one of the finest football players in the world, as well as other social causes celebrations. But against the Netherlands, he made a very different sign after converting a penalty to give Argentina a 2-0 lead and then followed it up with a 'Riquelme' celebration in front of the Netherlands' bench, where manager Louis van Gaal was sitting. The celebration was in response to Louis van Gaal's mistreatment of his teammate Juan Roman Riquelme at Barcelona.
