These players could give the fantasy managers an edge in the upcoming game week.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is back in action with the return of the Premier League after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Game week 18 was eventful after players like Marcus Rashford, Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka and more scored points for the managers that chose to include them in their squads.

The matches are coming thick and fast. With the conclusion of game week 18, the managers will be pondering upon the changes to their team. There are several players who are in a rich vein of form and have a favourable fixture in the upcoming matchday.

On that note, here are the top ten players that fantasy managers can target ahead of the game week 19 in order to rise up the rankings:

Eddie Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah is firing on all cylinders for Arsenal. The striker is utilising his opportunities well in the absence of the injured Gabriel Jesus. He has scored in his last two appearances. As things stand, the striker is a great value for money at £6.5m.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold remains a good option despite Liverpool FC’s lack of clean sheets this season. The right-back got three bonus points and an assist against Leicester City FC, taking his total to eight points. A fixture against Brentford could lead to a handsome points haul.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane is the second-highest goalscorer in the Premier League with 13 goals. He remains an indispensable player for Tottenham Hotspur and could gather a lot of points against Crystal Palace in the upcoming fixture. The Spurs skipper scored against Brentford in the last outing as well.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw is performing brilliantly for Manchester United and the team is overall defending well. The club has kept two consecutive clean sheets and the Englishman has benefitted by scoring eight and six points respectively. The Red Devils play Bournemouth in their next at home which could lead to another clean sheet. Furthermore, Shaw remains a threat with his deliveries as well.

Darwin Nunez

If Darwin Nunez can polish his finishing, then the striker can easily score in double digits in the upcoming game week. He scored five points by providing an assist against LCFC in the last fixture. Although he is worth £9.0m, the striker could prove to be worth the price tag.

Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard has been a very popular pick this season due to his attacking returns. He is the creative force behind Arsenal and scored a goal against Brighton in the previous fixture. Prior to the trip to Brentford, Odegaard scored 11 points against West Ham and had that two assists with three bonus points. With double-digit hauls in the last two games, Odegaard is worth targeting.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is one of the highest point-getting midfielders in FPL ahead of the game week 19 with 96 points. The Liverpool FC star has a favourable fixture against Brentford where he can grab a lot of points for his FPL managers. He has scored seven goals in the league and would be looking to add more to the tally.

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka’s value is rising with every game week. The winger was again amongst the scorers against Brighton after scoring a goal versus West Ham prior to the fixture. The FPL managers can consider the winger keeping his form in mind.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford is in scintillating form for Manchester United. He scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win away from home against Wolves in a recent league fixture. Rashford also managed a 14 points haul against Nottingham Forest prior to the win against Wolves. He is also a good pick for the captaincy as MUFC plays Bournemouth in their next fixture.

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland is the safest bet in FPL as he scores in almost every game per week. The Manchester City forward scored yet again in a 1-1 draw against Everton on matchday 18. He has 21 goals in the league and 141 points in FPL, an outright leader in both metrics. Despite a difficult fixture against Chelsea coming up next for MCFC, betting on Haaland to score again would not be unpopular.
