The German top returns after the end of FIFA World Cup 2022

After an enthralling FIFA World Cup 2022 final in Qatar, club football will be taking over the world. An almost a two month break between first half and second half of the season can make multiple changes in every team’s equation. Bundesliga saw many memorable encounters and moments before this long World Cup break. German league is known for all attack football, where teams love to take on their opposition aggressively. Clubs in Bundesliga also invest big amount in strikers & attacking midfielders. This break had also given teams to do some brainstorming for the games ahead in the league.

Total of 135 games have been played in the first half. If we look at points table, like most of the time Bayern Munich is standing tall at the poll position with 34 points in first 15 games. Bayern have won 10 of their 15 clashes in the league. From Sadio Mane’s entry in Bundesliga to Jamal Musiala becoming a sensation before the FIFA World Cup to Werder Bremen stunning comeback there are number of moments to rejoice in the league in first half. RB Leipzig change of luck with Marco Rose

RB Leipzig under Domenico Tedsco had a troubled start of Bundesliga season 2022-23. Under Tedesco Leipzig bagged only 5 points in first 5 games with languishing at 11th position. With this poor start Tedesco had to face sacking and RB Leipzig appointed Marco Rose as their next in charge. This appointment entirely changed Leipzing’s performance. After Rose became RB Leipzig manager, they won 7 out of 10 games and played two draws against Mainz 05 and Augsburg. Their change of luck started with a 3-0 win against Borrusia Dortmund.

Sadio Mane’s move from EPL to Bundesliga

This move from Sadio Mane was unexpected. Mane was Liverpool’s best striker, Bayern Munich made a move to get him in German football. Sadio Mane made his Bundesliga debut in opening game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Munich won the game by 6-1, Mane opened his account in 29th minute. Mane so far for Bayern has scored 11 goals including 6 in Bundesliga. Mane had to miss the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar for Senegal due to an injury.

Werder Bremen’s comeback vs Borrusia Dortmund

Werder Bremen is currently placed at 9th position with 21 points. Bremen started Bundesliga season with two back to back draw, then against Dortmund they were about to register an L in their scoreline. At the 88th minute of Borrusia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen, Dortmund were leading by 2-0. Almost certain for the win, but then the magical performance of this season happened. In the span of 6 minutes Werder Bremen scored 3 back to back goals to shock everyone.  Lee Buchanan in 89th, Niklas Schmidt in 90+3 minutes and Oliver Burke in 90+5 minute scored for Werder Bremen.

FC Augsburg shock Bayern Munich 1-0

FC Augsburg before facing the mighty Bayern Munich had registered only 4 goals and won only two games in 6 they played. Fans expected Augsburg to lose another. Bayern Munich were cruising through their campaign. Mergim Berrisa in 59th minute of the game gave Augsburg a winning strike. Bayern Munich attempted 21 shots in the nets yet they failed to go past Rafal Gikiewicz. Augsburg still yet to find their best form evern after an stunning win against Bayern Munich. They are currently placed at 14th position with 15 points and 4 victories.

Christopher Nkunku, Top Scorer

RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku had a brilliant run of form this season. So far in this season Nkuku had scored 17 goals for Leipzig with 12 in Bundesliga. Nkunku’s game as a forward is also responsible for Leipzig change of luck after first five game. Nkunku has a 40 percent share of all strike Leipzig has attempted in this season.
