This edition of FIFA World Cup 2022 has been magnificent in terms of Goal scoring. Big teams like Spain, Netherlands, and England had stunning wins in the initial rounds of the World Cup. Since then even in the Round of 16 teams have registered big wins to qualify for the next round as well. Even so far in the 6 Knockout games, 21 goals have been scored. Croatia – 8 Goals

Croatia has not been great with their on-field performance. Last evening they registered a win over Japan in the Round of 16 on Penalty Shootout and qualified for the Quarter Final. In Group round Croatia registered only one victory over Canada by a 4-1 margin. Croatia defeated Brazil in the Quarter-finals to set up a semi-final clash with Argentina.

Germany may have failed to qualify for the Round of 16 in Qatar, yet their 4-2 win against Costa Rice made them enter this list in 7th place. The 2014 World Cup champion had poor outings in two consecutive World Cup editions. Germany faced a huge upset against Japan in their opening encounter.

Brazil – 8 Goals

With a 4-1 victory against South Korea in the Round of 16, Brazil has jumped up to 6th place in this list. They have a powerful squad with one of the best attacking and midfield lines, yet in the group round, they failed to register big wins in Group round. Brazil crashed out of the tournament as Croatia won on penalties in the quarterfinals.

Spain – 9 Goals

2010 World Cup champion Spain also started their World Cup 2022 campaign with a bang, it was a goal fest for La Roja against Costa Rica. They won their opening game by a big margin of 7-0. Though after that game they faced also had a setback against Japan. They were eventually knockout of the World Cup 2022 by Morocco in the last 16 stages. After a goalless draw in regular time, Morocco beat Spain 3-0 on penalties. Luis Enrique's side failed to find the net even once after three attempts.

Netherlands – 10 Goals

With 8 goals Netherlands stand 4th in this list. Netherlands have been scoring continuously in this edition FIFA World Cup 2022. They scored 2 goals against Senegal in the first game, since then they have scored one against Ecuador, 2 against Qatar in Group round. Netherlands played the opening game of Round of 16 against USA and scored 3 goals. Wout Weghost's brace saved the Dutch from the exit in normal time at the quarterfinals but Louis Van Gaal's men couldn't get past in penalties against Argentina.

Portugal – 12 Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal have been good with their performance so far in the World Cup. Portugal won their opening game by 3-2 against Ghana and 2-0 against Uruguay. Portugal also suffered a setback against South Korea. However, they bounced back with a handsome 6-1 win over Switzerland in the Round of 16. They will now face Morocco in the quarter-final.

England – 13 Goals

England started their World Cup campaign against Iran, in this game England registered a big win by 6-2. Since then England had scored 13 goals in the tournament. England also won their Round of 16 game against Senegal by 3-0 margin. However, they were knocked out by France in Quarter Finals.

Argentina – 14 Goals

Lionel Messi led Argentinean side has been clinical after their setback against Saudi Arabia. After the first game loss, Argentina has scored 11 goals in the tournament so far. Argentina is considered as one of the top favourites to win this World Cup edition. Argentina scored two goals in the quarterfinal clash against the Netherlands but it wasn't enough as the Dutch came back in the closing minutes. The game went onto extra time and penalties where Lautaro Martinez made the last kick to see them through to the semifinals.

France – 16 Goals

The Current World Champions France had a dominating performance so far in the World Cup. France also registered a big win against Australia in their opening game by 4-1. Since then France had a good run in this world cup, scoring 11 goals overall so far till the quarter-finals. France tamed Poland in Pre Quarter Finals by 3-1. They then edged past England 2-1 to advance into the semi-finals.
