There are several top clubs that will hope that their players can win the elusive trophy.

The upcoming final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will take place on 18 December 2022 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, Lusail City, Qatar. Reigning world champions France will be looking to defend their title by beating Argentina which is riding on Lionel Messi’s magical display. 

Both outfits boast world-class players that have played significant roles respectively in getting their national team to the final. Expectedly, all of the players in either camp play club football for elite sides in top divisions across leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, German Bundesliga and more.

In anticipation of the final fixture of the FIFA World Cup 2022, here is a look at the clubs that will have the most players from their roster playing in the final:

AC Milan - 2

Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud are the two players from AC Milan who will be playing in the final. Both players are key in defence and attack respectively for France and can be vital against Argentina. 

AS Monaco - 2

AS Monaco will have Youssouf Fofana and Axel Disasi represent the club while playing for France in the final. While they may not feature among the starters, they could play a role from the bench.

Benfica - 2

Nicolas Otamendi and Enzo Fernandez both play for Argentina and Benfica. It is likely that both individuals will start and play a key role for the South American nation in the final.

FC Barcelona - 2

Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde will hope to win the FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy for France. They play for FC Barcelona at the club level and will aim to return to club football as world champions.

Manchester United - 2

Manchester United will have a player each on both the finalist teamsheets. Raphael Varane will represent France and Lisandro Martinez will represent Argentina in the final. Both are the first-choice centre-back pairing for the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag.

Olympique Marseille - 2

Matteo Guendouzi and Jordan Veretout are teammates at the club and national levels. The French internationals play for Olympique Marseille in French Ligue 1.

Paris Saint-Germain - 2

Two of the biggest stars in the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 final come from Paris Saint-Germain’s world-class roster. Lionel Messi of Argentina and Kylian Mbappe of France will definitely play a major role in the eventual outcome of the match.

Real Betis - 2

German Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez play for Real Betis at the club level. The duo may not enjoy a lot of gametime in the final but will hope to return as winners nonetheless.

Real Madrid - 2

Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are two of the most exciting young midfielders in the world. The French duo play club football for Real Madrid and will aim to become world champions by the end of the tournament. 

Tottenham Hotspur - 2

Cristian Romero of Argentina and Hugo Lloris of France will be on the opposing ends in the final. Whatever the outcome, one of the two will return to Tottenham Hotspur as a world champion.

Villareal - 2

Spanish club Villareal also has two players that will feature in the final of the World Cup in Qatar. Juan Foyth, who has played a fringe role in Argentina’s road to the final and Geronimo Rulli will be featuring in the final in some capacity.

Juventus - 3

Juventus will have three players featuring in the final. Adrien Rabiot will aim to help France retain the title while Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes will hope to return to the Serie A as world champions themselves. 

FC Bayern Munich - 3

German Bundesliga’s FC Bayern Munich also has three players in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Kingsley Coman, Dayot Upamecano and Benjamin Pavard will all represent France in the final. The number would have been four if Lucas Hernandez had not picked up a knee injury early in the competition.

Sevilla - 3

La Liga’s Sevilla will hope that their three players in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 return as world champions. Argentina’s Marcos Acuna, Gonzalo Montiel and Papu Gomez all play for the Spanish club.

Atletico Madrid - 4

Atletico Madrid is the club with the biggest representation in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The La Liga outfit will have four of their players in the final. Angel Correa, Rodrigo de Paul and Nahuel Molina play for Argentina while Antoine Griezmann will be in the French camp.
