The 25-year-old centre-back has some disagreements with the coaching staff as per the reports.
The Arsenal defender, Ben White has returned to England after a reported disagreement with the assistant manager Steve Holland. According to the daily star, Ben White's exit from England’s World Cup squad was due to a disagreement with assistant manager Steve Holland. The player was already unhappy in camp after struggling to mix in with his teammates and the bust-up was the final straw.
Ben White was having a great season with the league topper Arsenal and the World Cup in Qatar was to be his first one. However, he didn’t play any of the three group matches. He was on the bench in the matches with USA and Iran and missed the match against Wales due to illness.
The disagreement between White and Holland is traced to the training ground incident before the match with USA. According to Daily Star, Holland was unhappy with White for not knowing his own personal stats and vitals. The assistant manager was also upset about White’s lack of knowledge about the USA team. White was struggling to mix up with the team, but this incident led to a verbal spat between the two in front of the whole English squad.
Ben White left the squad after this incident with a mutual agreement from both sides and flew back to England. Earlier the Football Association mentioned some personal issues as the reasons for the early exit of the Gunners star but since then reports have come citing the dispute to be the reason. Ben White returned home with zero minutes of game time to his name in the World Cup in Qatar. It was to be the first of his career. However, it is still not known what the future of White in the English squad will be. And whether will he return any time soon or not.
