German Football Academy to conduct two-day workshop

The workshop is expected to be attended by over one hundred children between the age of 7 and 16 over the two days.

German Football Academy (GFA) will conduct a two day football workshop with Mr. Andreas Seipel from Germany. The workshop will take place on 28th and 29th January, 2023 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, FA Block Sector 3, Salt Lake from 3 pm and 5: 30 p.m and will be open for all the trainees of GFA.

The workshop is expected to be attended by over one hundred children between the age of 7 and 16 over the two days Andreas Seipel who is the CEO, Soccer City Football Academy, Germany, is an elite football trainer with an UEFA A License in football coaching. Soccer City is a residential football training academy based out of Germany which has produced players who have gone on to represent clubs like RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid at various levels. GFA is the exclusive partner for Soccer City for the Indian market.

GFA has been operating grassroots football programs in Kolkata and Kochi since 2017 and today has over 300 kids under the age of 17 participating in them. In Kolkata, GFA centers are located at Minto Park, Salt Lake and Tollygunge while in Kochi the football training takes place at Regional Sports Council facility.

The academy also works closely alongside the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce to conduct other programs aimed at football development across the country. As part of the program, GFA invites specialized coaches from Germany to conduct periodic football workshops for their coaches as well as the trainees.
