India U-17 to take on Qatar U-17 in two friendly matches

Bibiano Fernandes's team will use the games as preparation for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.
The India U-17 Football Team will play two friendly matches against Qatar U-17 on Saturday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 28 in Qatar as part of the preparations for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.
Coached by Bibiano Fernandes, the U-17 boys qualified for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup last year and have been training in Goa since November. The Blue Colts also played friendly matches with UAE U-20 and Uzbekistan U-17 last month.

The India U-17 football team lost a closely fought encounter 0-1 to the UAE U-20 National Team on January 16th at the Theyeb Awana Stadium in Dubai. UAE's Mohamed Ali Khaled scored the only goal of the game in a match played behind closed doors.
The India U-17 National Team lost 3-0 to Uzbekistan U-17 National team in the Tilak Maidan, after winning the first fixture 2-0. Vanlalpeka Guite and Lalpekhlua scored India's goals, while Oybek Urmojonov, Kuvonchbek Abraev and Abdulkhamid Turunboe scored for Uzbekistan in their win.
