Tri-Nation friendly Tournament 2023: Where and how to watch India vs Myanmar?
By Sathvik Bharadwaj
The two teams will lock horns in the inaugural game of the 2023 Tri-Nation friendly tournament.
The stage is set for the Indian National Football team to return to action after about six months, as they take on their northeastern neighbours Myanmar, in the opening match of the Tri-Nation friendly tournament.
India has welcomed a number of new faces to their squad that includes players who were very impressive in the 2022-23 Indian Super League season, which culminated just a few days ago. With these new players in their team, coach Igor Stimac has a chance to make some changes in his starting lineup, and be experimental with his players.
The Blue Tigers will look to bag all three points against Myanmar and give themselves a major boost going into a fierce game against a tough team in the form of Kyrgyz Republic in less than a week’s time. But the Asian Lions will surely make the job difficult for them, as they will be equally eager and hungry for a victory, and will also be playing under their new head coach for the first time.
These factors, added to the great history these two nations have, will surely make Wednesday’s game a blockbuster, and it will be very interesting to watch how the blue tigers get past a resilient Myanmar side.
