The young German signed for Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

Prior to signing Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Brunner performed for the Rot-Weiss Essen and VfL Bochum academies.

After recording sixteen goals in just five Under 17 Bundesliga games, he gained notoriety in the sport. At the age of sixteen, he was elevated to the under-19 team and scored in his Under-19 Bundesliga debut against Bonner SC. He was compared to his colleague Youssoufa Moukoko, who had comparable goal-scoring prowess as a youngster, because of these accomplishments.

Clubs are already showing interest in the youngster

Barcelona have apparently been keeping tabs on Brunner's development over the past two years after being intrigued by the player's physical features, which are reminiscent of Robert Lewandowski's. Although young, Brunner has demonstrated his goal-scoring ability in juvenile competitions.

Barcelona may be eager to seize the chance to recruit the young phenom Youssoufa Moukoko, especially after losing out on Moukoko earlier in the year. Moukoko had his breakthrough at Dortmund this past season.

Nonetheless, Brunner, who has demonstrated great promise at such a young age, will be trying to cement his future with the Bundesliga club Dortmund.

Brunner's performances make him an enticing potential for any team, but Barcelona must be patient in their pursuit of him and wait for him to make his professional debut in the Bundesliga.
