Which players have played 150+ Champions League games?

These players have been the most prolific superstars in the competition.
Every player fantasises about earning just one Champions League participation. It's the summit of European football as well as the most difficult championship in club football to win.
Over the years, we've witnessed a number of superstar players accumulate Champions League appearances, with some going on to amass eye-popping totals - a distinction reserved for the best of the best.
The greatest historical appearance makers are shown here.
4. Xavi Hernandez: 151
Between 1998 and 2015, Xavi orchestrated Barcelona's success in the Champions League, finishing with 11 goals and 32 assists in 151 European matches.
Perhaps more crucially, he won the trophy four times, ranking him among the most accomplished athletes in the competition's history, and now will be hoping to steer Barcelona to the European trophy as their manager.
3. Lionel Messi: 163
Lionel Messi holds many European records, but the most appearances in the Champions League competition elude him. Following another defeat against PSG in the round of 16.
He scored 149 goals for Barcelona and is currently trying to move up the rankings with a Paris Saint-Germain team that will be a perennial contender as long as he is on the roster.
2. Iker Casillas: 171
Iker Casillas, a Real Madrid mainstay, is one of the few goalkeepers to have had the same level of success in the Champions League.
The illustrious former shot-blocker made 177 appearances for Real Madrid and Porto in the competition, taking home no fewer than three championships for good measure.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo: 183
Cristiano Ronaldo, the tournament's top scorer, has already surpassed all other participants in the history of the Champions League in terms of appearances.
Ronaldo, who first played in the league in 2003, is still strong enough to make a few more appearances, although that seems doubtful given that the 38-year-old will no longer compete in the European Elite League after signing with the Saudi club Al-Nassr.
