Top five fastest Manchester United managers to win 30 games
These bosses have achieved a great feat with the Red Devils.
Alex Ferguson was the only manager of Manchester United to lead them to the most success over the years. However, since Ferguson retired, only a select few managers have been able to lead United to victory. Erick Ten Hag deserves all the credit for the club's recent turnaround, as he broke numerous records and completed a tremendous repair or replacement.
Ten Hag became the manager to reach 30 victories the fastest after defeating West Ham United, and with that, we'll look at the best five managers to do so.
5. Sir Alex Ferguson - 63 games (48%)
He is recognised as one of football's all-time top managers and has the most trophies of any manager in the sport's history. With the "Class of '92," who helped make Manchester United one of the wealthiest and most prominent clubs in the world in the 1990s, Ferguson is frequently credited with favouring youth throughout his time at the club.
He collected 38 trophies over his 26 years at Manchester United, notably two UEFA Champions League wins, five FA Cups, and 13 Premier League championships.
Ferguson has led Manchester United for the longest time, surpassing Sir Matt Busby's milestone on December 19, 2010. After his final season, he won the Premier League, and he announced his retirement from managerial duties at the conclusion of the 2012–13 campaign.
4. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 58 games (52%)
Solskjaer was appointed interim manager of Manchester United in late 2018, replacing José Mourinho for the remainder of the 2018–19 campaign. On March 28, 2019, Solskjr agreed to a three-year contract to become the permanent manager of Manchester United after winning 14 of his first 19 games in charge. In the 2021 UEFA Europa League final, he led Manchester United to a loss against Villarreal on penalties. He was fired by the board after his dismissal run and finished as the fourth-fastest manager to accumulate 30 victories in 58 games.
3. Louis van Gaal - 54 games (56%)
Given that Louis van Gaal only won the FA Cup while managing United, he did not have a great deal of accomplishment there. He was only in office for a brief time and left in a contentious way before being fired in 2016. But after 54 games at United, he is still the third-fastest manager to achieve 30 games wins.
2. Jose Mourinho - 48 games (63%)
Given that he was one of the few managers to lead Manchester United to championships during his tenure at the club, Mourinho has been a terrific manager there. Louis Van Gaal was succeeded as manager of United by a Portuguese who won the EFL Cup, Community Shield, and Europa League. In 48 games at Old Trafford, he was the second-fastest manager to reach 30 victories.
1. Erik ten Hag - 41 games (73%)
Ten Hag's victory over West Ham was his 30th triumph since taking over for Ralf Rangnick. When you recognise the challenges the Dutchman had to conquer at various points during his first season as manager, not least Cristiano Ronaldo's scandal press conference with Piers Morgan during the month of November that threatened to undo the improvements that had been created, 30 victories during his initial 41 matches as a manager in all tournaments is a remarkable accomplishment. Ten Hag has a 73.17 per cent victory ratio after winning 30 of his 41 games in command.
