Fans will have a good few games to watch out for

Football lovers will have a wonderful week to look forward to because this week offers some terrific matches, as some huge games, from El Clasico to Champions League, will be unfolding.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will be looking to increase their advantage when they face Real Madrid on Sunday, and Liverpool will attempt to reverse the deficit when they visit to the Bernabeu. Here, we have some top-notch matchups that will take place in the following days (13 - 19 March 2023).

5. Lazio vs AS Roma

Same rivalry, but new dugouts. Lazio enters the latest Derby della Capitale in good shape, having won their past four matches in all competitions, including a 1-0 win over Napoli. Roma are also doing well, having won seven of their eight Mourinho-coached opening games.

Sarri's experience has been unique. He started his term with the successive league this season, but they haven't been able to find their winning ways again. Roma will enter the Stadio Olimpico with the knowledge that set pieces may present a powerful path to the goal. They are now ranked fifth in Serie A despite having a turbulent season. The Mourinho team will aim to play in the Champions League the next year.

4. PSG vs Rennes

The Parc des Princes is the definition of a bastion, and Paris Saint-Germain has been dominant in Ligue 1 this season. PSG's last home loss (inside 90 minutes) came against Bayern Munich when they defeated them 1-0.

After a string of mostly disappointing outcomes, Rennes have slightly waned lately. They have lost three of their last eight games, and as a result of this bad run, they have dropped to fifth place in the standings, five points behind the leaders.

3. Inter Milan vs Juventus

Inter Milan will host Juventus at San Siro in Serie A this weekend in an effort to maintain their position in the top two.

Juve defeated Fiorentina to win the 2018–19 championship, but the match on Saturday night promises to be exciting as Inter attempts to keep pace with archrivals, Lazio, in second place.

It may be a little odd to say that a season that included winning Serie A was disappointing, but there is no doubt that Juve will be considering their Champions League elimination. However, they will be aiming to get into the Champions League the next season.

2. Real Madrid vs Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Madrid for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 match on Wednesday night, where they will play Real Madrid, needing to summon up some Bernabeu magic to extend their European campaign.

Only the most disastrous of failures would result in tickets to the quarterfinals changing hands after Carlo Ancelotti's senior European team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win the first leg 5-2 at Anfield three weeks ago.

1. Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Barcelona and Real Madrid will face off in a LaLiga match on March 19 at Camp Nou, adding another chapter to one of football's most ferocious rivalries.

Real Madrid will be eager to even the score because Barcelona has had a better domestic season so far, winning La Liga and defeating Los Blancos in the most recent Supercopa de Espana final. Last weekend, Carlo Ancelotti's team defeated Espanyol 2-0, but they are in better shape than Xavi's squad, which has managed to win by the slimmest of margins. This encounter should prove to be another deserving El Clasico entry since there may be further hardware on the line.
