Odisha FC announce squad for Super Cup 2023

The Juggernauts will play their first game on 9th April against East Bengal FC.

The Super Cup 2023 is set to begin from 8th April. The tournament will see 16 teams from ISL & I-League competing in a group stage and knockout format. The teams have been divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each. Each team will play other teams from their group in a single-leg tie with the group toppers qualifying for the semi-final. This year's edition is being hosted by Kerala. Manjeri and Kozhikode  are the two venues where the teams will play their respective group-stage matches. 

Odisha FC has been drawn in Group B alongside Hyderabad FC, East Bengal FC, and the winner of the  third qualifier (between Trau FC and Aizawl FC). OFC will kick off their maiden Super Cup campaign  against East Bengal FC in Manjeri on 9th April. Hyderabad FC will also be in action the very same day against the winners of the third qualifier. 

The semi-finals and finals are scheduled to take place between the 21st and 25th of April.

The fourth team in the group? 

The third qualifier game will be played on 6th April at 5:00 PM IST between TRAU FC and Aizwal FC. The  winning team will progress to the group stage and play against the rest of the teams in Group B.

Goalkeepers: Amrinder Singh, Niraj Kumar, and Lalthuammawia Ralte 

Defenders: Narender Gahlot, Carlos Delgado, Osama Malik, Shubham Sarangi, Denechandra Meitei, Sahil  Panwar and Lalruatthara 

Midfielders: Paul Ramfangzauva, Raynier Fernandes, Saul Crespo, Thoiba Singh Moirangthem, Princeton  Rebello, Victor Rodriguez, and Isaac Vanmalsawma

Forwards: Pedro Martin, Diego Mauricio, Nandhakumar Sekar, Akshunna Tyagi, Jerry Mawihmingthanga,  Isak Ralte, Soosai Raj, and Aniket Jadhav

The games will be telecasted live on Sony Sports Ten 2 & Sony Sports Ten 2 HD and live-streamed on FanCode. 

Team Update 

Clifford Miranda has taken charge of the first team as Odisha FC will look to make their Super Cup  debut the one to remember. Santosh Kashyap was roped in by the club as the First Team Assistant Coach.  The experienced Indian tactician will work along with Clifford and the backroom staff to prepare the  team well ahead of the tournament.

The club also announced the contract extension of talented midfielder Paul Ramfangzauva on its social media handles a few weeks back. Amrinder Singh has joined  the squad in Bhubaneswar and started training after his successful outing with the Indian National Team.
