The Red Devils take on the Seagulls in what promises to be a thrilling FA Cup semifinal tie at Wembley Stadium, London, on Sunday.

Manchester United are coming off an emotionally draining and dramatic loss at the hands of the Spanish side Sevilla, in the Europa League quarter-finals knockout stage. This is the third time in six years, that they've been knocked by the same opponents on the European stage. However, they've very little time to reflect upon it as they face off against an upcoming and in-form Brighton side who've beaten FA Cup holders Liverpool, Stoke City and Grimsby to reach the semi-final stage.

Having already found domestic success in winning the Carabao Cup in February and ending a six-year trophy drought. United will be looking to advance to the final on Sunday, and hope to complete the domestic double this season, later in May. For Brighton, they can pull off a memorable victory and cap off a stunning campaign with a domestic Cup as well as a European spot next year, if they're able to manoeuvre two more wins, in this competition & create FA Cup history.

Kick-off:

Sunday, 23-03-2023: 03:30 PM (GMT)

Sunday, 23-03-2023: 09:00 PM (IST)

Brighton Form (All Competition): W-L-W-D-W

Manchester United Form (All Competition): L-W-D-W-W

Players to watch

Manchester United: Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has been the shining light for Manchester United, as he's been instrumental this season in helping United be competitive on multiple fronts with his goals & assists. Under new manager Eric Ten Hag, England forward has his confidence back, and he has been consistently delivering for his side throughout the season, including scoring in the 2-0 Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle, in February. The Red Devils will be hoping he turns up yet again in this tie against a tricky Seagulls side, despite only contributing with 2 goal contributions in the FA Cup so far.

Brighton: Kairo Mitoma

The Japanese winger has been nothing short of a revelation in the Premier League this season. His dribbling accuracy is off the charts and is almost impossible to mark on the left wing. His season's contribution of 2 goals and 2 assists helped the Seagulls reach the FA Cup semifinal, including scoring a 90th-minute winner against Cup holders Liverpool, in the 4th round tie. The Seagulls will need his clutch ability to deliver yet again on the big stage against the might of Manchester United on Sunday.
