Top four clubs that can sign Houssem Aouar on free transfer next summer
The French midfielder is out of contract in July
Houssem Aouar, a midfielder for Lyon who will be a free agent in June, has not yet made a decision about his future. The Frenchman has apparently not made up his mind amongst a wide range of teams who have expressed interest in signing him recently.
Foot Mercato reports that Roma, Napoli, and Real Betis have shwon interest and the French midfielder is currently searching for his next team and weighing the offers his entourage has received in recent months. Roma and Napoli, whose interest in Aouar began last summer, recently made the two most notable proposals.
AC Milan
The defending Serie A winners AC Milan are interested in free-agent midfielder Houssem Aouar from Olympique Lyonnais. The player who aspires to leave his youth club this January or the following summer is the target of a transfer by the Rossoneri.
The contract with Milan is now the most advanced, though. Though there is nothing tangible, negotiations are moving along. Aouar could gain from a change of scenery and jump-start his growth in another part of Europe.
Napoli
According to rumours, Napoli is vying for the services of upcoming free transfer Houssem Aouar. Napoli has been considering Aouar since last summer. After declining to extend his contract with Lyon, the French midfielder is getting closer to leaving the club.
The athlete is currently searching for his next team and weighing the offers his company has received in recent months.
AS Roma
Aouar will remain till the conclusion of the season. Aouar was available to make a move with a club abroad starting on January 1 due to his contract's expiration.
In the previous two transfer windows, Roma made an attempt to sign the 25-year-old, but they waited for the ideal opportunity to strike, defeating Milan and Napoli. His compensation, including bonuses, should be about €2.8 million net every season.
Real Betis
Aouar and Real Betis have an understanding in place that states that whenever his deal with the Ligue 1 powerhouse expires, he would go to LaLiga. There are currently just a few issues to be resolved before the transfer can be finalised.
Aouar's entourage is sure that the Benito Villamarin Stadium is the finest place for him to play after visiting Andalusia at the invitation of former Lyon star Nabil Fekir. Sevilla, Betis' bitter rival, was also said to be interested in Aouar.
