Riyad Mahrez is a player who has always been capable of producing moments of magic, and he showed that in abundance in the 2020/21 season. The Algerian winger recorded 27 goal involvements in that campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists in 37 Premier League appearances.
Mahrez’s performances helped Manchester City win the Premier League title that season, finishing 12 points clear of runners-up Manchester United. He was also named the Premier League Player of the Month for March 2021.
4. Raheem Sterling – 28 (18 goals, 10 assists) in the 2019-20 season
Raheem Sterling is another player who has been a key part of Manchester City’s success in recent years. The England international enjoyed his best season yet in the 2019-20 campaign, where he recorded 28 goal involvements.

3. Kevin De Bruyne – 29 (8 goals, 21 assists) in the 2019-20 season
Kevin De Bruyne is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, and his performances for Manchester City over the years have been nothing short of exceptional. The Belgian playmaker produced his best season yet in the 2019/20 campaign, where he recorded 29 goal involvements.

Sergio Aguero is a Manchester City legend, having scored 184 goals in 275 Premier League appearances for the club. He is also the player with the most goal involvements in a single season for the club, with 33 in the 2014-15 season.
That season, Aguero was in sensational form, scoring 26 goals and providing seven assists in just 33 Premier League appearances. His goals helped Manchester City finish as runners-up to Chelsea, and he was named in the PFA Team of the Year for his outstanding performances.
1. Erling Haaland – 40* (33* goals, 7* assists) in the 2022-23 season
Erling Haaland’s debut season in the Premier League has been nothing short of spectacular. Despite initial doubts about his ability to adapt to the league, the Norwegian striker has shattered records left and right, demonstrating his prowess in front of goal.
With 33 goals in the 38-game season, he has broken the record for most goals in a Premier League campaign. Additionally, Haaland has smashed the record for most goals by a Premier League player in a single season across all competitions, reaching an astounding 49 goals with games still remaining.
Many critics were skeptical about Haaland’s transition to the Premier League, but they underestimated his talent and the coaching of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. Haaland’s next goal is to break the all-time Premier League goal record in a season, needing just one more to achieve this feat. He may even have a chance to match or surpass Dixie Dean’s all-time goal record for an English top-flight club in all competitions within a season, set at 63 goals in 1927-28 with Everton.
