Nemanja Vidic vs Fernando Torres: Record while playing against one another

The two have often met during their time at Manchester United and Liverpool respectively
During his tenure at Liverpool, Fernando Torres supposedly nearly ripped Nemanja Vidi apart at Man Utd. But that is not the case and in this article, we will prove how things have panned out whenever the two players have met.
On March 14, 2009, when Torres' quickness caused the Man Utd centre-back nightmares, everything began. On that particular day, the striker scored the equaliser, and Vidi was dismissed in the 76th. United suffered their biggest home loss in 17 years at the hands of Liverpool, which triumphed 4-1 at Old Trafford.
The same thing happened in their subsequent match during the 2009–10 season: Torres scored, and Vidi was sent off. A curious fact about the Serbian's eight red cards for Man United is that four of them were against Liverpool.
The belief that Torres consistently destroyed Vidi is, however, wildly exaggerated. For instance, on September 19, 2010, the defender defeated his Spanish foe, turning in an impressive game for the Red Devils.
The numbers put things into perspective: Torres only netted three goals against Vidi's Manchester United in 15 encounters.
Vidic typically had the final laugh because his United team frequently finished ahead of their worst enemies. By placing four points clear of Liverpool at the conclusion of the 2008–09 campaign, the Red Devils had clinched the title of Premier League champions.
El Nio wasn't even mentioned when the Serbian captain was questioned about the four hardest forwards he encountered in the Premier League. However, Vidi went with Luis Suárez, Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, and Peter Crouch.
