What is the record for fewest goals conceded in a LaLiga season?

Barcelona are in contention to break the record this season, currently held by two sides
Football players and fans alike erupt in jubilation after their team scores a goal. The aim of the match is to score a greater number of goals than the opposition, after all. On the other hand, a team's strong defensive effort that stops their opponent from scoring is frequently disregarded. Every club requires a solid defence that doesn't concede goals and supports its offensive line.
Sir Alex Ferguson once famously said, "Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles". Here we take a look at which clubs hold the record for the fewest goals conceded in a single LaLiga season.
Deportivo (1993-94): 18 goals conceded
"Sper Depor" were a significant title challenger during the tournament together with FC Barcelona: on game 14 the team was +3 ahead of Blaugrana, and it stayed at the top of the table even after suffering a loss in round 26 to the same FC Barcelona. Deportivo finished the season with results that featured a number of tight ties. Then, in the decisive encounter, the team drew 0:0 with Valencia CF when Miroslav Djuki missed a penalty kick late in the game.
Thanks to their superior head-to-head goal differential, the Blaugrana beat out Depor to win the campaign's runner-up spot.
With a historical average of 0,47 and only 18 goals allowed in 38 games, goalkeeper Francisco Liao won the Zamora Trophy again this year. In addition to breaking the previous record of 26 clean sheets in a single season.
Atletico Madrid (2015-16): 18 goals conceded

By allowing 18 goals in his 38 games, Jan Oblak was able to end his final campaign as the Zamora. The Slovenian custodian is the sixth Atletico Madrid to take home the prize for the custodian who allowed the fewest goals. The club was able to end the season with the fewest points among the opposition in three of the previous four seasons.
The Slovenian goalkeeper has also equalled Liao's record from the 1993–1994 season when the Deportivo de la Corua goalkeeper finished the campaign with 18 goals allowed in 38 games.
This season, Oblak also broke another record. Thibaut Courtois' previous mark of 24 clean sheets from the 2013–2014 campaign has been surpassed by the red-and-white player this year.
Can Barcelona break La Liga's all-time record of conceding the fewest goals?
Renowned for their possession-based tiki-taka manner, Xavi's Barcelona team have been by far the finest defensive team in Europe. They haven't given the opposition a chance, conceding only seven goals in 22 games.
They will only allow 12 goals this season if they can keep up their current pace of 0.31 goals allowed per game. To put it in perspective, Jose Mourinho's Chelsea in the 2004–2005 season only allowed 15 goals in the Premier League.
There have only been 18 goals allowed in a single LaLiga season, which is presently the league record. In 2015–16, Atletico Madrid was able to tie the mark established by Deportivo La Coruna in 1993–94.
