Here's the list of the most prolific goal-scoring clubs in Europe this season.

Football as a sport is most enjoyed when the supporters get to see their teams score loads of goals and win matches. However, the prolific nature of scoring goals can be attributed to numerous reasons, which include incredible individual goal-scoring talents such as Erling Haaland breaking scoring records, to aesthetically beautiful team goals by a Brighton team who prefer to build up from the back. We look at the teams with the most goals per game this season, as per Transfermarket.

Here's taking a look at the teams who've been prolific in averaging the most goals in a match.

10. Manchester United (2.04 goals per game)

Erik Ten Hag ever since taking over at Manchester United has been able to transform the club's fortunes this season. His side boasts the best home defensive record in the Premier League this season, conceding only eight goals. That statistic has been courtesy of the successful defensive partnership between Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. However, it's been the goal-scoring form that has propelled United to fight for a Top 4 spot in the Premier League, as well as compete for the Europa League and FA Cup.

They've been prolific, especially in Europa League where they rank 5th in goals per match(1.9), 1st in Expected Goals (23.4 xG), 1st in big chances created (27) as well as missed chances (22). Marcus Rashford is the leading goalscorer, who is back to his best this season with 27 goals and 10 assists, including 6 goals in the Europa League (1st). He's been ably supported by creative outlets in Bruno Fernandes and Anthony who have another 16 goal contributions amongst each other. United are also averaging 1.5 goals per match (8th) in the Premier League and scored 46 goals in total all season.

Their prolific goal-scoring record reflects in their fantastic home results where they have notched up 12 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss & a 74% win percentage. They've been equally impressive away from with 11 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses.

Arsenal's goal contributions from their two wide players have been instrumental in their lethal attack upfront with English winger Bukayo Saka (13G,10A) & Brazilian left winger Gabriel Martinelli (14G,5A), & captain for club & country, Martin Odegaard (11G,8A) being the most influential. They rank 2.4 goals per match in the Premier League (2nd) & 1.4 goals per match (20th), in the Europa League. They're also in the top three for Expected Goals(xG), Big chances created & Big chances missed both in the Europa League as well as the Premier League.

8. Bayern Munich (2.12 goals per game)

The ten consecutive Bundesliga winners have been relatively inconsistent in their league form despite scoring 78 goals(1st) in the Bundesliga this season, clear ahead of 2nd placed Dortmund. They've won 17, drawn 8 & lost thrice with a 61% win percentage in the league. They're headed for an 11th-record Bundesliga title as they have the best away record (8W,3D,3L) and the second-best home record(9W, 5D, 0L).

Despite Bayern's Champions League campaign coming to an end in the quarter-final stage against Manchester City, they scored 22 goals(5th) in the Champions League. They scored 2.2 goals per match(6th), had an Expected goals tally of 19.5(5th), 7.5 shots on target per match(1st), as well as ranking 3rd in Big Chances created (25). Eric Choupo Mouting has been their best attacker with 17 goals & 4 assists in all competitions.

7. Real Madrid (2.16 goals per game)

The Los Blancos have been the Kings of Europe this year in defending their title in the Champions League. This has been reflected in their results, as they've reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League stage and are a win away from the semi-final stage.

Their right-hand side pairing of full-back Frimpong and winger Diaby have been amongst the most potent with goal contributions of 0.6 per 90 min, amongst the highest in Europe

5. Monaco (2.24 goals per game)

Monaco has to thank their top goalscorer Wissam Ben Yeddar, who's scoring a prolific 0.6 goals per match and has amassed 23 goals in all competitions, for their goalscoring record. They're currently fourth in the Ligue 1 table, and are only second in goals per match behind PSG, in Ligue 1.

In addition, they're also amongst the top three sides in shots on target per match(5.7, 3rd) and big chances created (3rd, 62) in the French top division and are targeting a return to the Champions League next season.

4. Brighton (2.31 goals per game)

As complimented by Pep Guardiola as the best side in the World to play out from the back, Brighton have been the incredible underdog story of the Premier League this season. Initially under Graham Potter, and later earning more plaudits under Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi, the Seagulls have finally managed to overcome their underperforming Expected Goals numbers under their new manager.

They're currently amongst the top three sides in the Premier League in goals per match and average possession, and fighting for a spot to play European Football next year. They're the top side in shots on target per match with 6.2, even ahead of defending Champions Manchester City, and also amongst the top five sides in big chances created and missed.

Their attractive brand of football has found fans amongst neutrals as well as the rise of hidden gems such as wingers Mitoma and March, who have a total of 25 goal contributions amongst each other, as they push themselves higher up the table (currently 7th) to end the season.

3. Borussia Dortmund (2.31 goals per game)

The team in Black and Yellow in Germany have been very strong offensively this year, scoring plenty of goals. They have goal contributions from multiple personnel upfront in their team and helped them become the closest they've ever been to compete for a Bundesliga title since 2013.

They're ranked amongst the top two in the goals per match(2nd), Expected Goals(52.4 xG,2nd), and shots on target per match (6.1,2nd) in the Bundesliga. They're currently two points behind leaders Bayern Munich and will hope to finish the season well after a disappointing exit in the Round of 16 stages of the Champions League.

2. Toulouse (2.37 goals per game)

After being promoted this year, no one expected Toulouse to be amongst the goals and somehow consolidate their place in the Ligue 1 table. However, they've been efficient in front of goal and currently find themselves consolidated in the 12th spot in the table.

Toulouse have decent contributions from forward Thijs Dalinga (12G,1A), winger Zakaria Aboukhlal (7G, 5A) to help them amongst the top eight positions such as goals per match (8th), expected Goals (8th,xG), shots o target per match (7th), in Ligue 1.

1. Manchester City (2.67 goals per game)

The combination of the most in-form team in Europe & most in-form striker only creates one outcome, goals and loads of it. Ever since joining Manchester City in the summer, Erling Haaland has gone on to become the top scorer in the Premier League with 32 goals currently & as well as the Champions League with 12 goals.

He has a goals-per-match ratio of 1.10 goals per game and is being fed constantly by the creative Kevin De Bruyne, who has a record 23 assists this season.
