These team's performances have gone under the radar

We have listed the top five most underrated clubs that have been frequently overlooked by fans this season. These clubs have established themselves in Europe's top leagues, some are competing with major clubs for trophies and some are in positions to secure European football for next season. Their relegation and subsequent promotion to the top divisions under different managers altered the trajectory of their progress.

5. Lazio

It was straight away apparent that he had made the proper choice when Lazio hired him last summer. Sarri might flourish, like he did at Napoli, away from the scrutiny and pressure of a major European club, with players and fans who would allow him the opportunity to fully execute his ideas.

Sarri oversaw a 3-2 triumph in his first Rome derby as he guided Lazio to fifth place in the previous campaign, one position ahead of Jose Mourinho-led AS Roma. And his side has always been in great form.

While this season they are now second in Serie A and on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League for the upcoming season because of their remarkable performance this season.

4. PSV Eindhoven

Van Nistelrooy is in his eighth season as a coach despite being new to senior top-level football management. He has been steadily rising forward while accepting direction from those he respects and values. While they currently sit third in the standings, he has turned PSV into one of the top teams in the Dutch league. one of the undervalued teams so far this season.

3. FC Freiburg

Streich, a former player for Freiburg, has been an integral part of the organisation since 1995, when, at the age of 30, he entered the club's junior coaching staff. Streich, the 56-year-old first-team manager who has been in command since 2012, has not had a smooth tenure and even presided over a relegation in 2014–15. The squad quickly recovered and is currently vying for its fourth top-five finish in 22 Bundesliga campaigns. It may, however, be even better.

With the longest-tenured manager in the Bundesliga, Christian Streich, Freiburg might make history by being the first team to ever qualify for the UEFA Champions League and go to their first-ever DFB Cup final.

2. Aston Villa

The Spaniard Unai Emry who has revived a struggling team into a genuine force is one of the Premier League managers of the year. Because Unai Emery at Aston Villa has taken a team that was headed for relegation and turned them into European football candidates within slightly more than five months. Amazingly, they are only six points away from a Champions League position after accumulating 16 points from their previous six games.

1. Lens

But, Lens are a club that is among the best run in Europe and has great cunning when it comes to hiring. Early transfer window success allowed them to work with their team throughout the whole preseason, and it shows. Fresh arrivals have been meticulously recognised and quickly obtained.

They have remained a dependable team under Franck Haise, now sitting in second place in Ligue 1 and six points behind PSG. If PSG drops points and Lens wins every game, they would have made history.
