The Uruguayan striker is set to join the LaLiga side

Andres Ferrari, a gifted striker from Uruguay, is expected to join LaLiga side Villarreal. On Tuesday, the player will sign on a contract that will last until June 2028. Ferrari, who was born in 2003, was on several European teams' transfer lists. For the next U-20 World Cup, he will play the position of 9 for Uruguay.

Who is talented striker Andres Ferrari?

Andres Ferrari, who just made his professional debut in May of this year, is the following top prospect from the nation. Andrés Martin Ferrari Malveira, a striker for Defensor Sporting, was born in Uruguay on January 3, 2003.

Ferrari, a Sauce native, began his professional football career with Sportivo Artigas after transferring to the futsal team Club BBC at the age of six.

Before rotating between the Pearol and Defensor Sports schools, he also competed at the football academy Profe Santos.

He ultimately decided to stay with Defensor Sporting, and on May 29, 2022, in a 1-1 tie with Deportivo Maldonado, he made his professional debut.

It was revealed in April 2023 that Ferrari will join Villarreal in July of the same year. The young person has since competed for Uruguay at the under-20 level.

The playing style of Andrés Ferrari

The 19-year-old has the skills to become a top striker thanks to his stature, capacity for getting possession between the lines, hold-up play, and menace running in from behind. Ferrari, who joined Defensor Sporting in 2021 on his first professional deal, is the middle brother in his family.

The young striker, who can finish with both his head and foot, already makes deft moves in the box as a striker, especially to the near post. He has experience playing both on the wing and in the centre because of his ability to gain possession, elude defenders, and move the ball forward to generate scoring opportunities.

He excels when trying to retain possession and collect passes between the squares, but he can lose control of the ball when he pushes it towards the goal. His touches within and around the box may also be unpredictable because he might not have a chance to shoot in these circumstances. He will also need to improve his finishing while remaining more composed in and around the box.
