Erling Haaland has been ruthless in front of goal and has already netted over 50 goals across all competitions

Erling Haaland of Manchester City bagged the honour for the men's wins Football Writers' Association.

Haaland, a Norwegian international who established a City milestone with 51 goals in every competition this season, won with 72% of the vote, the largest majority since the Premier League's inception.

Bukayo Saka of Arsenal finished second in the polls, ahead of Martin Odegaard. With four matches left, Haaland's City leads the Premier League standings by one point.

Haaland has been outrageous for City this season

He has set several Premier League marks with Manchester City, notably the greatest number of goals recorded in a single season, the fastest person who has scored two, three, and four hat-tricks, and the very first player in the history of the league to achieve hat-tricks in three straight home games.

Last summer, both enthusiasm, and scepticism greeted Erling Haaland's arrival at Manchester City.

The Norwegian attacker had two productive campaigns with Borussia Dortmund by the time he was 22 and had proven himself among the top goal-scorers in European football, first at Red Bull Salzburg.

However, he was now joining a squad that was already loaded with offensive potential and a league where high-profile acquisitions have arrived and gone without making a lasting mark.

The stats for Haaland's debut campaign defy comprehension. In 47 appearances this season, he has scored 51 club goals, including 35 in the Premier League, 12 in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup, and one in the League Cup.

Just Dixie Dean, who tallied 63 goals in the 1927–28 season, and has registered a greater number of goals in the same top-flight career in English football.
