Creating goals is as important as scoring goals, and here are the top creators in English top-division

1044 goals have been recorded in the current Premier League season. Of these 1044 goals, 696 have been assisted by a teammate in the 368 matches completed. A total of 259 players have provided the end pass and a few of them have registered more than one assist. Manchester City have scored the most goals in the league, and their players have been at the top.

Let’s take a look at the top five players with the most assists in the Premier League 2022-23.

3. Michael Olise – 10 assists (Crystal Palace)

The Frenchman joined the Eagles last season and has already doubled his tally from last season. Michael Olise’s creativity played a key role in his side’s survival in the league. The 21-year-old provided a hat-trick of assists against Leeds United in April. He is currently being scouted by a few big clubs, including PSG.

3. Leandro Trossard: 10 assists (Arsenal & Brighton)

Leandro Trossard only provided two assists in 16 league games for Brighton. He then made a move to North London and added eight assists in the next 19 games for the Gunners. The Belgian forward created some crucial goals for Arsenal in their run for the title. Trossard assisted three times in the first half against Fulham and created a record of hat-tricks of assists in the first half.

3. Riyad Mahrez: 10 assists (Manchester City)

Manchester City’s Algerian winger has taken the lowest number of appearances to reach the double-figure mark. He has made 28 appearances for the champions. Riyad Mahrez has provided all his assists after the World Cup in 19 games.

2. Bukayo Saka: 11 assists (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka has made a name for himself in the Premier League. In the 37 games, the 21-year-old has 24 goals-scoring contributions. Saka provided six assists in the 14 league games before the World Cup. This creative force has played a crucial role in Arsenal’s run in the league and will look to add an assist or two in Arsenal’s final match of the season.

2. Mohamed Salah: 11 assists (Liverpool)

Since his arrival, Mo Salah has created and scored goals for Liverpool. The 30-year-old has carried the Reds in a disappointing season, according to their standard. Salah has 11 assists in 37 games, and this is the third time he has reached the double-figure mark. In the last 23 games, Salah has assisted eight times, including a hat-trick of assists against Leicester City.

1. Kevin De Bruyne: 16 assists (Manchester City)

Kevin De Bruyne has registered 102 assists in the English Premier League and is joint-fourth with Frank Lampard. This season, he has 16 in 31 league appearances. Of these 16 assists, nine came in the first 14 matches. De Bruyne has created half of the assists for Erling Haaland. The duo will look to combine once again in the last match of the season.
