"From Rising Star to Superstar: Vinicius Junior's Emergence in the World of Football

Football is a sport where everyday a new young talent rises up, with two of the best of this sport Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi ageing, everybody across the globe is on the lookout for the next big thing. The two superstars have been ruling world football for almost two decades, recently there has been a lot of talk about Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

The two young superstars have already done so much at such a young age that fans have started a Messi-Ronaldo type of conversation. Mbappe, who won the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and single-handedly took the tie from Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he bagged a hat-trick, on the other hand, Haaland has been a scoring machine since joining Manchester City; he has scored more than 50 goals in one season under Pep Guardiola.

Another name that is quickly rising up the ranks is that of Vinicius Junior. He is a young Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Real Madrid; he started his career at the age of 16 in his hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil, before making a move to local Brazilian club Flamengo. After impressing everybody at Flamengo, he was signed by Real Madrid in 2018 for a fee of €45 million, making him one of the most expensive teenagers in the history of football.

During his first season at Real Madrid, Vinicius was not able to cope up with the pace of how Real Madrid plays in LaLiga and other major European competitions. But in the 2019-20 season, he played a crucial role in Real Madrid's success of winning the LaLiga title after Barcelona won it for two consecutive years prior to them.

Comparison with Mbappe and Haaland

When it comes to talking about young footballing talents, the two names that come up are Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Both of them have been sensational since joining major clubs like PSG and Manchester City, there's a possibility we continue to talk about them for more years.

However, with Vinicius's recent performances, football pundits and fans are starting to take notice of his potential. His numbers may be different from Mbappe or Haaland, but his impact on the pitch cannot be ignored.

During Real Madrid's Champions League run last year when everybody counted them out against Manchester City, Vinicius stood up and played an important role in that tie where they came from behind to beat Pep's men.

What a coincidence it is, Real Madrid played Manchester City at Santiago Bernabeu last night in the Champions League again and as expected Manchester City enjoyed a lot of ball possession but guess who scored the goal for Real Madrid, it was Vinicius who scored an absolutely blinder from outside the box to give them lead and Haaland barely touched the ball against Real Madrid last night.

Vinicius's incredible speed, dribbling skills, and ability to score crucial goals have shown everybody that he is capable of playing for that Real Madrid badge. While he may not be in the same conversation as Mbappe and Haaland yet, he is on his way to become a superstar; as he continues to develop and improve, Vinicius Junior is a player to keep an eye on in the world of football.
