David Moyes labels Declan Rice as the best English midfielder in the world

The West Ham captain has cemented himself among the best midfielders in Europe
Declan Rice was named by David Moyes as one of the top English midfielders in Europe after West Ham defeated Manchester United 1-0.
Declan Rice will be an "extremely expensive" addition this summer, according to Moyes, who has also forewarned clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea.
Because of his impressive performances for both club and country, the 24-year-old midfielder has been widely linked with a move away from West Ham for some time.
The Gunners are still keen on Rice amid the addition of Jorginho. It's also known that Chelsea, where the Hammers captain spent his early years in the youth with Mason Mount until he eventually left at the age of 14, continues to be a top priority for the player.
The current deal of the England international for the East Londoners expires at the conclusion of the upcoming campaign, but it's rumoured that West Ham have the right to extend it by another year. Although Rice has shown a desire to participate in the Champions League and the Hammers are now outside the top four, he hasn't yet committed his future as a professional to the club.
A few elite clubs in Europe are showing interest in Rice, and Moyes has provided a new update on the Englishman. The Scotsman gave his captain high praise after West Ham defeated Manchester United at the weekend.
"Again, he was outstanding tonight but I thought we had some really big performers," said Moyes. "No surprising me, he has got a great talent of regaining the ball.

When asked if Rice wil leave the club in the summer transfer window the former United manager said: "Yes, that’s why he is probably the best English midfield player around and that is why he is going to be extremely expensive if anybody comes calling."
