Granit Xhaka set to depart Arsenal in summer window

Granit Xhaka has decided to leave the Gunner next season
Granit Xhaka wants to find a new challenge this summer and will likely leave Arsenal.
The 30-year-old's agreement with the Gunners expires in 2024, although manager Mikel Arteta is anticipated to approve Xhaka's exit if a sufficient offer in the neighbourhood of £15 million is made.
After being jeered off the field by supporters in 2019, Xhaka has repeatedly revived his Arsenal future under Arteta, becoming a crucial member of the midfield for the Spaniard this year.
“There was one guy, his name is Mikel Arteta,” Xhaka said.
“I will always support him, it doesn’t matter what happens. Without him, I am 100 per cent sure I would not be in the club anymore.
“He knows that, I have a very good and honest relationship with him. It doesn’t matter what happens on the pitch, I will never ever be against him or say something against him."
He deserves my respect, but the respect from my family as well. I was gone. I did not want to wear the shirt anymore. He gave me the feeling to do it again."
Xhaka, who has contributed to 14 goals this season and is still eager to return to the Bundesliga, has previously been courted by German powerhouse Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal's top targets for next summer
Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are at the top of Arsenal's list for the summer transfer window as they look to add at least two central midfielders.
West Ham values Rice at over £100 million, although there is speculation that a trade might be reached for a price closer to £90 million.
Before the player's transfer market shut in January, Brighton midfielder Caicedo agreed to a new long-term deal after receiving a proposal from Arsenal.
As a result of the interest several teams have shown in players like Kieran Tierney and Reiss Nelson, several players are anticipated to leave Emirates Stadium this summer.
At left back for Newcastle, Tierney is an essential acquisition while Nelson has declined an additional contract offer with his current term set to expire at the conclusion of June.
