The Red Devils are leading the race to sign the Napoli ace

According to Sports Witness, Kim Min-Jae is ready to join Manchester United next season.

A sizable contract offer has already been made by Manchester United to Kim Min-Jae, a defender for Napoli who "dreams" of playing in the Premier League.

Even though Kim, 26, only moved to Naples a year ago, Old Trafford has been mentioned as a possible summer destination for him for months.

The highly regarded centre-defender performed admirably for South Korea in the World Cup and was essential to Napoli's incredible Serie A title-winning season.

Erik ten Hag intends to make acquiring a top No. 9 his first priority during the transfer window, but the Dutchman is also eager to bolster his team in other areas.

Even though Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane make an outstanding defensive pairing, both players have missed matches this season due to injuries.

Kim has been identified as United's top defensive target, and talks have been made with the player's representation as a result. And United had already given the former Fenerbahce player a "colossal" contract offer.

The defender 'dreams' of competing in the Premier League, according to reports, but Kim has previously attempted to downplay speculation of a second transfer less than a year after coming to Italy. As things stand, Kim may possibly play Champions League football at Manchester United.

After struggling to get players to sign with him at the club for a year, Ten Hag claims that players are now keen to transfer to Old Trafford, prompting Manchester United to make a move for Kim.

Players are eager to participate in Ten Hag's ambitious rebuilding effort at Manchester United, but the Dutchman's options are limited in the transfer market due to the protracted takeover dispute.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the CEO of Ineos, has taken the lead in the competition to buy the club from the Glazer family and is soon to be announced as the preferred buyer.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, though, is reluctant to concede defeat in his attempt to buy United and may make one more effort to scuttle the deal.
