The Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year is awarded every season to the best young player in the league. The recipient of this award should be 23 years or under at the start of the season. Zinedine Zidane was the first player to receive this award after the commencement of the 1993-94 season. Since then, the award has been awarded 29 times.

A total of 26 different players have received this award in 29 seasons. Eden Hazard was the first player to win two Young Player of the Year awards. Kylian Mbappe came into the league and won three awards in a row. He holds the record for the most Young Player of the Year awards.

Monaco players have won the award six times. This is the most by any club in Ligue 1. PSG are just behind them with five winners. Five defenders, eight midfielders, and 16 forwards have been awarded with this prestigious honour. Eden Hazard, Marco Verratti, and Younes Belhanda are the non-French players to receive this award.

Nuno Mendes backs the award for the current season. He joins the list of elite players. We now take a look at the complete list of players who have won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.
