Lionel Messi and Vinicius Jr lead dribbling stats in 2022-23 season

The South American duo has been in their own race for the best dribblers
On Sunday, May 29, Lionel Messi completed 100 dribbles in Europe's top five divisions, becoming just the second player behind Vinicius Jr during PSG's Ligue 1 tie with Strasbourg.
Both Vinicius Jr and Lionel Messi have performed admirably for their clubs this season and have contributed medals to their collections. Vinicius Jr claimed the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Supercup with Los Blancos, whereas the Argentine conquered Ligue 1 with PSG this season.
It's insane to witness a 35-year-old accomplish 100 dribbles this season, and it's even more amazing that Lionel Messi still has the qualities to beat defenders despite losing speed.
However, after helping Argentina win the World Cup, he will actually complete the season in the best possible way. Although PSG only won Ligue 1 and, as usual, their primary prize, the Champions League, continues to elude the Ligue 1 giants, he did have significant success at the club level.
Lionel Messi's future continues to be up in the air as his deal with Paris is set to expire this summer. The former Barcelona player was recently linked with an eventual return to Camp Nou, although Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal and MLS club Inter Miami have demonstrated curiosity.
Jude Bellingham, Jeremie Frimpong, Samuel Chukwueze, Rodrygo, and Leroy Sane also make it to the list of most dribbles in Europe.
The Real Madrid star has contributed to 23 goals this season in every competition. On the other side, Lionel Messi has led PSG in goals and assists with 21 this year.
Real Madrid lost to Manchester City 5-1 in the Champions League semi-final this season, but they still finished the season with three trophies, and the Brazilian played an instrumental part in each game.
Vinicius Jr's growth into one of the top wingers has been genuinely remarkable, and he is currently one of the best players in Europe. Given how much he produces on the field, it is crucial for Real Madrid that he plays in the matches.
