Mohamed Salah become first Liverpool player to score in nine consecutive home matches

The Egyptian Mohamed Salah maestro made Liverpool records by becoming the first player to ever score in nine straight home games across every competition. His goal against Brentford marked the Reds' 100th at Anfield.
With 137 goals, Liverpool's 30-year-old star from Egypt holds the Premier League scoring record.
Other clubs where The Egyptian scored were Basel (20), AS Roma (34), Fiorentina (9), Chelsea (2), and Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab (12). He has 51 goals worldwide.
With 59 points, Liverpool is fifth in the Premier League table, just four points below fourth-placed Manchester United, who is still in the running for a spot in the Champions League and has a game remaining.
Salah set a number of other records as well. Hossam Hassan, a former Egypt captain who scored 314 goals for club and country, was surpassed by Salah.

Since signing with the Merseyside club in 2017, Salah has notched 186 goals for Liverpool, and this goal tied him with former captain Steven Gerrard for the fifth-most goals in Liverpool club.
The club's historic leader with 346 is Ian Rush. An earlier Egyptian attacker rose to the top Premier League scoring status for Liverpool.
In 205 league games for Liverpool, Salah grabbed his 128th and 129th goals. Salah even passed the Reds fan referred to as "God" with his two goals against United.
Robbie Fowler had been eclipsed by Salah as Liverpool's all-time leading Premier League scorer. What a fitting place for him to achieve it—against United at Anfield.
