Five players to target from relegation-threatened teams in Fantasy Premier League GW 38
The final game week can spring many surprises, especially in the battle to stay in the competition.
Premier League is getting closer to the end of another massively entertaining season. The 2022-23 campaign was full of memorable moments and with its conclusion, Fantasy Premier League is also heading towards the end of this season.
The current edition of the heavily popular fantasy football game will end after the conclusion of the 38th game week. A lot of eyes are on the relegation battle where Leeds United, Leicester City and Everton are aiming for survival. As these teams will be pushing for three points by any means necessary, there is a potential for plenty of attacking returns.
As the 38th game week approaches, the FPL managers will be working hard to select the ideal team to score points and finish the season strongly. Here are five players they can consider from the teams that will be fighting to avoid the drop:
Dwight McNeil
Dwight McNeil can come up with the goods for Everton in their game against Bournemouth. His work rate on the flanks is impressive and accuracy with crosses is a danger for the opposition. He has 0.9% ownership and potentially a good differential.
The winger comes at a cost of £5.1m, which is affordable for FPL managers. Furthermore, during game week 35, McNeil scored 21 points with two goals and two assists in a 5-1 win away from home against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jack Harrison
Unfortunately for Leeds United, a lot of their key attackers like Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, etc, are unavailable due to injuries. In such trying times, the fans will hope Jack Harrison can find the back of the net or provide his teammates with chances to score.
The attacking winger has four goals and eight assists for the club this season. A lot of FPL managers will look towards Harrison as a differential as well who has only 2.0% ownership.
Abdoulaye Doucoure
Abdoulaye Doucoure is one of the most sought-after differentials heading into game week 38 of the FPL. The midfielder loves to make late runs into the box and his 0.1% ownership makes him one of the ideal differential players.
He has four goals and two assists for Everton this season. As the Merseyside-based club fights to avoid relegation, one can expect Doucoure to make an attacking contribution to the club’s mission.
James Maddison
James Maddison could be playing his last-ever game for Leicester City FC. There are clubs vying for his signature and in case the Foxer suffer relegation, the midfielder likely signs with one of them.
The £7.8m worth of attacking midfielder is always a threat with his vision and creativity. As LCFC pushes for a win, it will hope that Maddison can add to his 10 goals and nine assists in the Premier League’s 2022-23 season.
Jamie Vardy
Leicester City could look towards its cult hero Jamie Vardy for some inspiration heading into the final game week of the season. The striker, who won the Premier League with the Foxes, needs to help them retain their place in the top division.
Despite a lack of regular gametime, Jamie Vardy has three goals and five assists in the campaign but he has started both of the club’s last two games.
