As per reports, the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner is mulling over leaving Real Madrid

Based on a rumour, Karim Benzema is undecided about accepting an invitation to play this summer in the Saudi Pro League. He has been offered a massive deal from a Saudi Pro League club.

Last season, the Real Madrid forward agreed to a one-year extension to his deal that would have kept him in Spain. However, reports claim that he has since received a two-year offer from the Middle East worth over £173 million.

With Real winning only one of the three trophies they were vying for, along with the Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey, Benzema has experienced an inconsistent season on the pitch.

Los Blancos lost the La Liga championship to Barcelona, and they were defeated by Manchester City in the Champions League semifinals.

Benzema, who has played for Real for 14 years and is currently 35, could be leaving the team this summer, per Relevo.

The Frenchman joined Madrid in 2009 after leaving Lyon, and he has since won numerous awards in the Spanish city.

He played in just 23 league games this season after claiming the Ballon d'Or in 2022, yet he still scored 18 goals as Real Madrid lost.

Since joining Real Madrid for £25 million 14 years ago, he has contributed in excess of 350 goals in more than 600 games.

If he accepted the offer, he would follow former Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to Al-Nasr in January after departing Manchester United, as the second high-profile signing to transfer to Saudi Arabia.

It's unknown which team has extended the offer to Benzema, but he has a few weeks to decide, and Madrid won't likely object if he chooses to leave.

His behaviour has recently come under scrutiny, with fans miffed by his handling of Real Madrid's Champions League elimination as club captain.
