Dani Alves' trials scheduled between October and November for sexual assault case

He has been in custody since January
Dani Alves' trial is scheduled to take place between October and November of this year. He faces up to 12 years in jail for an alleged sexual assault that allegedly occurred in a club in Barcelona.
The 40-year-old Dani Alves was detained at Brians 2 since 20 January after a 23-year-old woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in a lavatory at the renowned Sutton club.
The defender, who has played for top European clubs in the past, has had multiple petitions to be freed on remand denied; therefore, he will stay in custody. The Barcelona high court's magistrates rejected the most recent appeal.
If released, there are worries that the former FC Barcelona player may leave the country and possibly return to his native Brazil, which does not transfer citizens to foreign countries.
A date for the trial has already been set for Dani Alves' case, based on a new article from El Periodico. The exact times have not yet been verified in writing.
Dani Alves could receive a sentence of six to twelve years if found guilty thanks to the Law on the Protection of Sexual Freedom, which took force in October.
Following the passing of his wife Joana Sanz's mother, he was imprisoned in January after returning to Spain from Mexico, where he had played for UNAM Pumas.
El Periodico adds that two investigative judges, three officials, and up to five other judges had twice evaluated the proof and come to the same decision.
There are allegedly various signs that support the victim's claims and refute the up to this point offered justifications by Dani Alves.
Both in the washbasin and the cistern, the police discovered seven of the victim's fingerprints.
Additionally, it is believed that tracks at the location may have indicated a series of actions that correspond to the accuser's two assertions.
