Edouard Mendy is another player linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League

Many of Chelsea's fringe players have been linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League, which has put the club in the spotlight as to how they are able to sell most of them to Middle Eastern clubs.

The eye-watering amounts of money offered to play in the Middle Eastern Kingdom are currently tempting Chelsea's ex-players.

N'Golo Kante is close to joining Al-Ittihad, the current Saudi Pro League champions, for an estimated £86 million a year.

Kalidou Koulibaly is being courted by Al-Hilal, the club that Lionel Messi snubbed earlier this month, to sign with them for £25 million a year.

Al-Nassr, who made headlines when they announced the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in December, have given winger Hakim Ziyech the chance to quadruple his salary in Riyadh.

Another Saudi target is apparently the misfit striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who only scored three goals for the Blues after signing from Barcelona last year.

Players who were recently informed they do not have a career at the Bridge and are obligated to move on this summer may find such possibilities too tempting to pass up.

But this Saudi means of fleeing for Chelsea's undesired players seems a little too handy, as more and more frustrated supporters are calling it out on social media.

Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli are four of the country's premier clubs, and the Saudi Public Investment Fund [PIF], the oil-rich state's sovereign development fund, recently declared it had gained ownership of them.

Each member of the group will have 75% ownership in it, and PIF promises to "unleash commercial opportunities, investment, and sponsorship."

In a £4.25 billion acquisition a year ago, Clearlake acquired 60% of Chelsea, with Todd Boehly heading the group.

There has been no Saudi participation in the club's purchase, according to Chelsea reports, and there was not a possible problem regarding interest in Newcastle participating in the same championships.
