Federico Chiesa's agent rejects speculation regarding demand for better contract
The 25-year-old joined the Italian side permanently in 2022
Federico Chiesa's representative addressed the persistent rumours about his client's deal requests on Sunday. Federico Chiesa is a standout for Juventus.
For those who are unaware, wide-man Chiesa's name has occupied a prominent position in the top stories of the Italian media this week.
The reason for this is the growing speculation that the 25-year-old's future may not be in Turin, given his links to teams like Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Federico Chiesa is being mentioned as a potential sacrifice since Juve is in desperate need of cash to spend on the transfer market after losing out on Champions League participation the previous year.
Before his current deal expires in 2025, the Bianconeri brass reportedly told the former Fiorentina star that he must either sign an extension or risk being traded.
Reports indicate that Chiesa wants €8 million, which his team is reluctant to pay because the explosive forward hasn't yet recovered to a level even near his best since tearing his ACL in January of last year.
Thus, when Chiesa's agent, Fali Ramadani, opened up to the press on Sunday, it came as little surprise when the matter of his client's alleged demands was brought up.
“Chiesa has never requested €8m net salary per season to sign new deal. This is not true, fake news”
Federico Chiesa had a challenging season last year. He lost his spot in the starting lineup after the 2022–23 season got off to an injury-plagued start.
Only six Serie A starts and two goals have given rise to rumours that he will leave Juventus during the summer transfer window.
It's still unclear how the club sees the circumstances. Last season, Allegri's defensively-oriented football clipped Chiesa's wings.
However, the Italian attacker was not the only one whose performance began to deteriorate. The conservative stance of the Italian also hurt Dusan Vlahovic, casting doubt on his long-term chances at Juventus.
