Bundesliga champions made five signings last summer

Bayern Munich, inarguably the best club in Germany, are looking to make a comeback in the 2023–24 season. The 33-times Bundesliga champions went about their usual business, clinching yet another Bundesliga title. However, their goal is to win the UEFA Champions League with their new manager, Thomas Tuchel.

Ever since Julian Naglesmann left and Thomas Tuchel joined Bayern Munich, the progress has been disappointing. The Bavarians were disappointed in the UCL as they failed to put up a tough fight against Manchester City. Moreover, they won the Bundesliga title on the very last matchday.

Thomas Tuchel can definitely do wonders at Bayern Munich but will also need the help of some new, quality players. Bayern are looking to transfer out some players as well as rebuild their squad.

Let's take a look at the top 5 players Bayern Munich should target in the summer of 2023.

5. Sofayan Amrabat (Fiorentina)

Morocco's amazing run to the FIFA World Cup 2022 semifinals showed they have many quality players. Sofayan Amrabat is one of them. Amrabat is a great midfielder and arguably the best central midfielder at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Sofayan is very physical and also press-resistant. Despite not being very quick, he performs quite well under pressure and also aids the defence in recovering the ball quite often. Sofayan is a great number 6 and is on the radar of many big clubs. Bayern Munich have officially pulled out of bidding for Declan Rice. Amrabat is definitely a cheaper option and also a great one.

4. Kim Min-jae (Napoli)

Bayern Munich have reportedly poached the transfer of Kim Min-jae to Manchester United. Before Bayern's involvement, there was a huge possibility of him joining Manchester United. This talks a lot about Bayern's pull power. Moreover, Kim Min Jae will form a great centre-back duo with Matthias De Ligt.

Kim is a strong and very tall defender. He is a 6 foot 4-inch defender, which gives him a very big advantage over other players in aerial duels. He is also very fast and has great distribution of the ball, which helps out his team's attackers. Kim Min Jae was the unsung hero of Napoli as they heroically won the Serie A title this season.

3. Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)

Wirtz is arguably one of the most complete young midfielders in football right now. Florian can play as an attacking midfielder or as an inverted winger. His dribbling ability and passing ability, combined with his attacking intent, make him quite the midfielder. Florian is a proper number 10 and has many big clubs on his radar. To be specific, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been tracking him for quite some time.

Since FC Barcelona cannot sign him due to financial issues, Bayern Munich have a solid chance. The midfield pairing of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz poses a major threat to any opposing team.

2. Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Randal Kolo Muani scored 23 goals in the 2022-23 season

Randal showed an impressive performance against Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. He almost won the World Cup for France in the dying minutes of extra time if it weren't for a spectacular save from Emi Martinez. However, he is not just a "one game" player.

Kolo Muani has been playing in Ligue Un since the 2020–21 season. He did quite well this season, bagging 15 goals and 14 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances. Overall, he managed to score 23 goals and assist 17 times in 46 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions.

Since Bayern Munich have failed to find a striker since Robert Lewandowski left, Kolo Muani is a viable option. He is also suitable for the long run, as he is still just 24 years old.

1. Kyle Walker (Manchester City)

The most premium player on this list Kyler Walker played a crucial role in Manchester City's historic treble-winning campaign. He has accomplished much with Manchester City, winning many trophies. Kyle has spent the majority of his career in England. There are rumours that he is looking for a new challenge.

Bayern Munich can definitely take advantage of the situation and sign him. The Bavarians are eyeing him as a replacement for Benjamin Pavard. Walker is arguably one of the best one-on-one defenders in the world right now. His positioning and, especially, his pace help him pocket many attackers.

Kyle Walker has faced some of the best attackers in the world and has come out on top consistently. Kyle Walker on the right flank and Alphonso Davies on the left would definitely spell trouble for the opposition team's attackers.
