Real Madrid are keep to sign the French star

Kylian Mbappe's camp is set to meet Paris Saint-Germain to discuss contract talks after the player is rumoured to be leaving in the summer window. PSG want Mbappe to either extend his contract or leave in this window as they don't want him to lose for free.

Transfer speculation went into a frenzy after Kylian Mbappe informed Paris Saint-Germain in a letter to the club that he had no intention of renewing his contract until 2025.

Because of that strategy, it was clear that Mbappe intended to depart in 2024. PSG knew that if this was the case, they would need to either attempt to market him this summer or danger of losing him for nothing the next year.

A conversation between the player agents and the team's executives will take place on Friday in an effort to find a resolution.

MARCA discovered that Nasser Al-Khelaifi of PSG and Mbappe's mother Fayza Lamari will host a discussion between Mbappe's agents and PSG's top thinkers.

If the player and PSG agree he ought to depart this summer, it might be an opportunity for Real Madrid to move depending on how that meeting turns out.

Although nothing has been considered out, a new contract, perhaps a two-year or three-year term, is gaining traction. This would allow Mbappe to be moved next summer.

However, because they are illegal in France, there would be no written release clause, and the thought of a move in 2024 would only constitute a verbal promise.

The present deal, which permits Mbappe to commit to a third year on the identical conditions as the two prior ones, provided he did so before July 31, is likely to be discarded by PSG at the time in favour of the new contract.

Although Mbappe's contentious letter has significantly cooled things between PSG and his camp, Al-Khelaifi has been friends who know the player's family for a long time.

Real Madrid will hold off on making a deal for the time being since they would rather not make their mistake from the previous campaign.
