Three-peat winners, the Premier League title defence for Manchester City will get underway on the road against Burnley.
Following a one-year absence from the top level, the Clarets, led by former City captain Vincent Kompany, earned promotion at the first attempt after finishing 10 points ahead of Sheffield United in the Championship.
In a March FA Cup match at the Etihad, Kompany's team was defeated 6-0. The match is set for Friday, August 11, in the evening.
