The Gold Cup starts on Sunday

Top nations are frequently paired together throughout the schedule, providing fans with some spectacular matchups. The outcome of a match between two elite teams during the group stages typically has a significant impact on which teams advance to the knockout rounds and in what order.

During the international break, there were a few exceptional games that caught everyone's attention. On that note, let's look at the top five football matches to watch out for in the fourth week of June.

5. Portugal vs Iceland - UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier

Iceland head coach Age Hareide could not have a magical debut on Saturday as Slovakia ruined his welcome.

The fact that Bruno Fernandes does not have to play against Bosnia's troops every week will undoubtedly be appreciated by them, as the playmaker grabbed the spotlight during an easy three-goal victory on Saturday.

Fernandes assisted Bernardo Silva in scoring with an inch-perfect through ball after Cristiano Ronaldo had a header disallowed for offside. He then added a brace of his own in the second half with a thunderous header and beautiful half-volley to extend Martinez's outstanding start.

The two teams had goals in all of the country's three previous meetings, and Portugal and Iceland are no outsiders to each other. In fact, the hosts famously grasped their Iberian peers to a 1-1 draw in the Euro 2016 group stage prior to Fernando Santos's resulting Selecao Euro Glory.

4. France vs Greece - UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier

France will go into this game following a 3-0 win over Gibraltar. Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe both scored goals, and St. Joseph's centre-back Aymen Mouelhi also scored an own goal to give France the victory.

Greece, on the other side, most recently defeated the Republic of Ireland 2-1. Anastasios Bakasetas of Trabzonspor and Georgios Masouras of Olympiacos both scored goals to give Greece a victory. The Republic of Ireland's goal was converted by centre-back Nathan Collins of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

3. Brazil vs Senegal - International friendly

Brazil have selected a good team for this round of games, and they will face a difficult opponent in Senegal on Tuesday. Menezes formerly worked as the Brazilian team's U20 World Cup manager. In the continuing search for a new coach, a number of well-known names have been mentioned.

Senegal have transformed into a hard team to defeat and will put up a spirited fight. Brazil should be able to prevail in this match due to their amazing offensive potency and all of their proficiency in the midfield and defence.

2. USA vs Jamaica - Gold Cup

In the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the USA's Stars and Stripes and Jamaica's Reggae Boyz will trade tackles. The USA recently defeated Canada 2-0 to win the CONCACAF Nations League, and they will look to maintain that momentum in the Gold Cup. Both teams have been placed in Group A and will be vying for first place.

1. India vs Pakistan - SAFF Championship

The Pakistan football squad will arrive in Bengaluru to face their cross-border adversary, India. As was previously stated, the visa issue is unrelated because both countries have granted authorization for it. The India vs Pakistan match will proceed as scheduled, and the SAFF Championship timetable will not change.

Pakistan's men's football team is in Group A with the tournament's hosts, India, Kuwait, and Nepal. They will face India, their most formidable foe, on June 21.
