Naseer Al-Khelaifi has publicly quashed any involvement in the Red Devils take over process

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain has strongly objected to having any connection with the purchase of Manchester United.

His remarks come amid many allegations that the Glazer family contacted Al-Khelaifi a month ago in an effort to persuade the Qatari financier Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani to increase his bid for the club.

Following conversations with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, numerous rumours have circulated that the PSG president is part of a larger Qatari role in Sheikh Jassim's bid for the Red Devils.

This would contradict the Nasser Al-Khelaifi's earlier assertion that his offer was made in his individual capacity, speaking to the media related to his involvement in Premier League giants buying he said:

"Paris St-Germain is my club, in my heart, and I have nothing to do with Manchester United. It makes me laugh. I am Qatari, right? If people ask me my opinion, I will answer them for sure - and that's what they do."

"I am talking about anyone, not just Manchester United. I will give them the experience that I have. That's it."

Nasser Al-Khelaifi has invested in Qatar Sports Savings, a division of the Qatar Investment Authority, the nation's sovereign asset fund.

The Qatari investor claimed to have done nothing unusual and to have no connection to the prospective takeover of United when speaking to the media in Istanbul before Saturday night's Champions League final.

Sheikh Jassim's endeavours might be fruitless despite any prospective Al-Khelaifi contribution since INEOS CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe is sure of capturing the contest.

Ratcliffe and his INEOS, colleagues are currently said to be in direct negotiations with the Red Devils administration.

They only are interested in purchasing up to 70% of United, probably eyeing the Glazers' 69 per cent dominance, which United fans might not like as they want Galzers totally out of their club.
