Robert Lewandowski speaks up on Saudi Pro League move

The Polish striker won the LaLiga with Barcelona in the 2022-23 season

Robert Lewandowski claims he is not interested in joining any Saudi Pro League club despite rumours of him being linked with a move there.

The prolific goalscorer has been one of the best strikers in the last 10-12 years, and following his successful stint with Bayern Munich, the Polish striker joined LaLiga side Barcelona in the previous summer window.

The 34-year-old translated his Bayern form in the Spanish top division finishing as the top goal scorer in just his first season and also won the league title with the Catalan giants.

Nowadays Saudi Pro League clubs are in the limelight. They are targeting a lot of players who have achieved success at club levels and nearing the end of their careers. Robert Lewandowski is also such a player who is rumoured to get an offer from some of the Saudi clubs.

Robert Lewandowski joined the Polish national team for the upcoming international matches. He was presented with a few questions during an interview with Interia Sport.

When asked about the rumours of him linking with a Saudi Pro League team, the striker replied, "There was no such topic." He added, "So I don't think about it."

Robert Lewandowski also said that he has other priorities right now. This will be happy news for Barcelona fans as their 34-year-old striker wants to continue playing for the Spanish giants.

The former Dortmund hitman will be hoping to steer the Catalans giants to the Champions League or maybe a treble next season.

The 34-year-old Polish striker played in 46 games for Barcelona in the 2022-23 season. He scored 33 goals and provided eight assists. The ability to produce such numbers at this age makes him one of the best in the business.

Robert Lewandowski has won 10 Bundesliga, one Champions League, one LaLiga, and four DFB-Pokal. He has scored over 500 goals at club level.

Saudi Pro League clubs will definitely monitor the player and wait for one more year before making any contact. He is on a contract till 2026 and it will be interesting to see when he joins the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.
