Ruben Neves in advanced talks to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal

The 26-year-old joined the Premier League side in 2017
Ruben Neves, a midfielder for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, is apparently getting closer to moving on to Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese international has excelled during his stint in the Premier League and now appears to be getting a lucrative transfer, though not to the place many people would have predicted.
Neves, who is only 26 years old and is already at the height of his abilities, could undoubtedly choose from a number of elite European teams, having previously been associated with teams like Manchester United and Barcelona.
However, a new Relevo story asserts that Neves is on his way to Saudi Arabia and that a probable €55 million transfer to Al-Hilal is now looking likely.
This is a setback for Wolves, who could've likely dodged losing their finest player, and one wonders if teams like Manchester United may later regret not spending more money to acquire the former Porto player.
Neves has repeatedly demonstrated his Premier League potential, and the Red Devils may need a younger midfielder to complement Christian Eriksen and offer them some creativity.
It's unfortunate to see a player of this calibre defect from English football for a league with significantly lower standards, but he's far from the only well-known athlete to have recently been seduced by the lucrative opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
