Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also in the race to buy the club

As per the report If Sheikh Jassim is successful in taking over Manchester United, then his administration will conduct a 100-day board review.

Should the Glazers don't answer Sheikh Jassim's final offer of nothing more than £6 billion for Manchester United by the Qatari's internalised limit of Friday, the offer will still be in effect.

The financier has made five proposals after becoming dissatisfied with the process that started when Manchester United's American owners put the club up for sale in November.

Sheikh Jassim's demand may have been a last-ditch effort to acquire ownership because he feared losing out to Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the only other openly announced bidder who wants to buy a controlling position in United.

However, now there is a change in scenario as both United buyers are working with the club's owners to finalise their agreements, and this week's long-awaited verdict on confidentiality is finally anticipated.

Lawyers for British petrochemical billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani are in communication with Raine Group, the US merchant bank overseeing the proceedings.

Ratcliffe's Ineos team appeared to be comfortably ahead, but Mail Sport has learned that Sheikh Jassim's representatives, who once believed they had lost, now feel very much in the driver's seat thanks to the spectacular presentation of an enhanced offer last week.

Sheikh Jassim wants total control of the Red Devils. He has made a bid of around £5 billion and has promised to invest £1 billion in the club's infrastructure.
