The summer window transfer rumours have started to circulate

Clubs all around Europe and beyond keep business up until that point, knowing full well that the majority of international agreements and free transfers won't be finalised until July 1.

So far, there have been significant transfers, most notably Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid, as well as transitions from short-term stints to long-term ones and contract extensions. Ben Foster's renewal with Wrexham and Loic Bade's long-term commitment to Sevilla following his post-Europa League final request are two examples from this week.

The top 10 deals you missed this week are shown below.

10. Orkun Kökçü: Feyenoord to Benfica

This previous season, Feyenoord snapped a six-year championship drought. Orkun Kökcü, the team's captain, was a key factor in their success; the important Turkish centre midfielder contributed eight goals and three other goals. His all-around performances inevitably attracted attention, and some even predicted a Premier League transfer. Instead, the 22-year-old chose Portugal's top league, where the standard isn't all that different from what he is accustomed to.

9. Naby Keita: Liverpool to Werder Bremen

This one just appeared out of nowhere. Keita may have slipped into Anfield's hierarchy, but nobody noticed a total departure. He is making a comeback to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen, a team that some pundits believe will have a difficult season.

8. Konrad Laimer: RB Leizpig to Bayern Munich

It's become a Bayern Munich tradition to sign players from opposing clubs, and this is another instance. Laimer joins Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer as players who just transferred from RB Leipzig to Germany's indisputable champions. However, the 26-time cap midfielder for Austria comes on on an unpaid move.

7. Houssem Aouar: Lyon to Roma

Aouar then had the entire globe at his disposal. Although he was linked to Manchester United, Liverpool, and even Manchester City, he chose to stay at Lyon, where he regrettably stagnated. Since leaving, he has joined Roma without compensation.

6. Youri Tielemans: Leicester City to Aston Villa

Everyone's eyes were on Youri Tielemans' next destination as soon as he chose not to commit to Leicester for the long term and let his contract expire. The Belgian midfielder was formerly highly regarded for a team competing in the Champions League and for championships.

He was a member of a Foxes squad that was demoted during the most recent season, and his own performance was at best inconsistent. However, Tielemans has the opportunity to show that shape is really a façade. He joins a daring Aston Villa team that is eager to play European football for the first time in more than ten years.

5. Joshua Wynder: Louisville City to Benfica

Although Kökçü's transfer may be Benfica's most major business deal thus far this summer, the Portuguese powerhouse has been continually expanding its playing alternatives going forward. Teenage American centre-back Joshua Wynder, who relocates from his old squad, Louisville City, which competes in the USL Championship, strengthens their B team. He was the most expensive USL player ever acquired, going for an estimated $1.2 million plus add-ons.

4. Joel Campbell: Leon to LD Alajuelense

Joel Campbell once received praise for his excellent achievements. The former forward for Arsenal has evolved into a bit of a journeyman in the past few years. Before moving to Frosinone permanently, he was loaned out seven times throughout the course of his seven-year relationship with the Gunners. Campbell later joined León of Liga MX but is now back home with LD Alajuelense of Costa Rica.

3. Ibrahim Cissoko: NEC to Toulouse

Toulouse has developed a habit of signing Dutch players in the past few seasons. Just a handful include Thijs Dallinga, Branco van den Boomen, Stijn Spierings, and Zakaria Aboukhlal. The most recent player to relocate from the Netherlands is Ibrahim Cissoko, a left winger who arrives from NEC after scoring three goals in 32 games throughout all tournaments.

2 Youri Regeer: Ajax: Twente

Erik ten Hag is never afraid to utilise the young players at Ajax to the fullest. Under him, midfielder Youri Regeer made five starts before making three more appearances towards the close of the previous campaign. Regeer's future, however, won't be in Amsterdam because Twente signed him before the 2023–24 season.

1 Ramy Bensebaini: Borussia Mönchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund

This seems to be a transfer made in advance. The Bundesliga's runner-up team acquired Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach in light of rumours that Raphael Guerreiro was departing and the fact that it has subsequently been established he is moving to Bayern Munich. He's got some large shoes to fill, considering Guerreiro finished the 2022–23 season with four league goals and 12 assists.
