Looking at the key transfer news for the day

Lionel Messi's transfer saga ended after his move to MLS side Inter Miami was confirmed in the evening. He is set to join David Beckham's team in the USA.

Jude Bellingham's deal agreed

Another player who was in the limelight is England's 19-year-old midfield sensation, Jude Bellingham. According to reports, Borussia Dortmund have agreed a €100m plus add-ons deal. Bellingham will sign a six-year contract with the Los Blancos and that will keep him at the Spanish capital until 2029.

David Ornstein tweeted, "Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham. Fee in excess of €100m - among biggest deals in both clubs’ histories. 19yo set to have medical in coming days before completing move".

N'Golo Kante joins Benzema at Al Ittihad

N'Golo Kante has left Chelsea and joins Saudi Pro League winners, Al Ittihad. He is their second major signing after Karim Benzema. According to Fabrizio Romano, this is a two-year deal with an option for a further season. His salary is €100m per season and the medical tests were completed in London.

Liverpool completes World Cup winner signing

Liverpool have signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35m. They triggered the release clause and have completed the medical tests. The player is likely to be presented as a Red in a day or two.

Chelsea approaches Neymar

Le10 Sports has reported that Chelsea are looking for a possible deal to sign Neymar. PSG could part ways with the Brazilian as they prepare to sign some new faces in the transfer window. Bernardo Silva has been identified as their priority signing.

Houssem Aouar leaves Lyon and joins Roma

One of the rated midfielders in Ligue 1, Houssem Aouar has left Olympique Lyon on a free transfer. He has signed a new deal with AS Roma and this will keep him at the Italian club for the next five years.

Napoli's centre-back Kim Min-Jae is the most chased defender in the current transfer window. It has been reported by the Sun that Newcastle United are looking to rival Man United. Napoli are not in favour of selling the defender. Manchester United also have a plan B and are currently monitoring the French market.

Monaco's defender Manchester United's plan B

Fabrizio Romano tweeted, "Axel Disasi wants Manchester United as L’Equipe reported — he’s plan B option in list on the French market mentioned today. Understand there’s still nothing concrete in terms of agreement between Man Utd and AS Monaco — Kim Min jae remains the top target as CB."

The Frenchman could be heading to Old Trafford if they miss out on Kim.

Raphael Guerreiro switches sides, agrees to join Bayern

Another player who is about to leave Borussia Dortmund and join Bayern Munich is Raphael Guerreiro. He is set to join the Bundesliga champions on a free deal and has verbally agreed to a three years contract. Medical is set to take place next week according to Fabrizio Romano.

Marcus Thuram likely to join Asensio and Skriniar at PSG

PSG are looking to rebuild their squad after the recent exits of a few players. Borussia Monchengladbach's striker, Marcus Thuram is one of the players on their list. He is available as a free agent and the French side are expected to hold talks this week.

Ruben Neves heading to Barcelona

Wolves and Portuguese midfielder, Ruben Neves is close to moving to Barcelona, according to Sport. He is identified as one of their key targets but Xavi is also planning to add more enforcements to Barcelona's midfield.

Dortmund eye Bellingham's replacement

Borussia Dortmund have set their eyes on Edson Alvarez as Jude Bellingham's replacement. The Mexican plays for Ajax. The German club is in advanced talks with the player and the negotiations are set to continue this week, according to Romano.
