Govt of India to continue to extend full support to Indian football: Kalyan Chaubey
The AIFF President gave an account of the progress in Indian football and discussed the roadmap with Home Minister Amit Shah.
Kalyan Chaubey, President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) took to social media to put light on his recent meeting with the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah. He met the former Rajya Sabha member to talk about Indian football and its recent achievements.
He also mentioned that the Government of India will continue to provide vital support to the growth of Indian football under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. Through its revolutionary strategic roadmap ‘Vision 2047’, AIFF aspires to uplift Indian football to greater heights by elevating the quality of the game across all levels with the help of the public and private sectors.
This ambitious project needs assistance from the Government of India and Kalyan Chaubey’s meeting with Amit Shah is a positive sign in that context. It is heartening to see government officials providing vital support to the rise of football in the country with an investment towards developing better infrastructure and more.
Indian football on the rise
Indian men’s football team recently won the Hero Intercontinental Cup and the SAFF Championship by beating strong oppositions like Lebanon and Kuwait, respectively. Indian men’s team jumped to 100th rank in FIFA’s Rankings after their recent run of positive results.
These two achievements would have been part of the discussion between Kalyan Chaubey and Amit Shah. The matches (highlights) against Pakistan and the rest of the competitors received a huge viewership on digital platforms such as YouTube. Furthermore, the people of Bengaluru came out in huge numbers at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium to cheer for the Blue Tigers.
Indian football had a brilliant period recently where the men’s team won two trophies after a valiant effort. Kalyan Chaubey’s passion towards improving the state of football in the country is a welcome sight and with support from officials such as Amit Shah, Indian football is looking towards a promising future.
