AC Milan closing in on signing USMNT international Yunus Musah
The Rossoneri's eighth summer signing is almost reaching conclusion
Yunus Musah, USMNT international, is reportedly on his way to AC Milan after Valencia agreed to decrease their transfer fee expectations.
Relevo claims that the Spanish club is willing to reduce its initial €25 million (£21 million/$28 million) asking price for the midfielder, which has restarted negotiations. Valencia rejected Milan's offer of €18m (£15m/$20m) plus bonuses.
Milan was prepared to make the offer. However, it is believed that an agreement between the two parties resulted in the sale being settled for €20 million (£17 million/$22 million).
Los Che are willing to make concessions in order to hasten the deal because they feel that Musah just wants Milan.
The USMNT player has already signed personal terms with Milan, and the deal may be publicised after additional formalities are resolved between the two clubs. He is expected to agree to a two million euro per year contract with the Stefano Pioli-led team.
Yunus Musah's football journey
Musah spent a large amount of time in the Arsenal academy system when he was younger. He also has an Italian passport, which guarantees that he won't play for a non-EU team. He has made 108 senior outings and scored five goals over his four years in Spain.
Milan wants to finish some sales, though, before speeding and attempting the decisive push. Giorgio Furlani travelled back to Milan on Wednesday to finalise the signing of Samuel Chukwueze and to keep a closer eye on the other negotiations.
Ante Rebic, Divock Origi, and Fode Ballo-Toure, all of whom were excluded from the tour to the United States and are still connected to a number of other teams, are potential departure candidates.
