Many European clubs are interested in signing the Nigerian forward

Saudi club Al-Hilal are now targeting Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after Kylian Mbappe reportedly rejected a move to the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi Pro League team made an audacious attempt to get the 23-year-old, even getting PSG to accept a £259 million offer for the France international.

Mbappe, though, reportedly declined the opportunity to even talk with Al Hilal executives when they landed in Paris, according to sources cited by ESPN.

Mbappe reportedly wants to join Real Madrid when he becomes a free agent next summer, but for the time being, the feud over the player's future remains.

Al-Hilal confirmed the acquisition of former Barcelona winger Malcom from Zenit Saint Petersburg on Wednesday, continuing their summer of lavish spending. At least €60 million was reportedly paid for the Brazilian's signing.

But it seems the club will keep spending money, as they have their sights set on another well-known target.

Al Hilal will focus on Napoli starlet Victor Osimhen after moving on from Mbappe, claims Loic Danzi, the correspondent for the French publication L'Equipe.

But a transaction like that will undoubtedly be expensive.

The Daily Mirror reports that Manchester United were interested in signing the Nigerian international this summer, but Napoli reportedly offered them an astounding £170 million asking price.

Victor Osimhen, one of the club's main players, may potentially fetch even more money from Al Hilal in light of the offer put up by the Saudi Pro League team for Mbappe.

The Italian club easily won their first league championship since 1990, when Diego Maradona was still a great player, thanks in large part to the 26 goals he netted in 32 Serie A games the previous season, earning him the league's Golden Boot award.

A £170 million offer, which would rank Osimhen as the next most valuable player in the history of football after Neymar, might be excessive for Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis to refuse.
