The Blaugrana have emerged as another club keen on signing the England captain

According to a rumour, Barcelona have grown interested in acquiring Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, though there is a catch.

As Kane enters the final year of his deal with Tottenham, the club must prepare for the dreadful possibility of losing their all-time leading goalscorer. Tottenham's chances of preserving the centre-forward are now seriously threatened by Bayern Munich.

Kane seems eager to join the Bundesliga champions, according to sources. Bayern will have to reach an agreement on a transfer fee with the striker's current employers, which is complicated.

Kane will have to consider all of his alternatives amid the impasse even if he allegedly has no desire of pushing for a transfer despite being interested in bringing Bayern Munich.

It is becoming increasingly likely that if he decides to leave Tottenham, he could have to fulfil the remaining year of his contract. He would then be entitled to decide on his subsequent location as a free agent.

The Athletic claims that if it were the case, Kane would be a desirable signing for Barcelona. They wouldn't be able to compete for his services this year due to budgetary constraints, but if they can persuade the England captain to wait another year, they might try to sign him for nothing in 2024.

In the past few years, Barcelona have made it a practice to look for prospective players to sign. Robert Lewandowski, who left the vacancy at Bayern that Kane may theoretically fill, is currently their primary centre forward, although he is nearing the end of his career.

At Tottenham, awards have been more difficult to come by, but as the Ange Postecoglou era starts off, Kane might have had an additional season in order to snap their trophy drought. If he doesn't actually decide to extend his stay, it's unclear where he will travel next.
